^They didn't give any indication, and I'm not really sure what they said their reason for being down here was. I wish I could help you more, but that's all I remember.

No problem. Was just overly curious/anxious.

Here's what they said in their blog prior to going to Florida...

Due to the enormous success of the Ravine Flyer II and the park's best season in history, Paul Nelson already has his sights on Waldameer's next great attraction. Both Nelson and Gorman will be checking out the POTENTIAL NEW RIDE while in Florida. Will be ready for the 2009 season? Nothing definite yet.

Was just hoping somebody might have a hint.

Torin and I went to AK for about an hour and a half. Everything had 5-minute waits.

Notes:
-They're set up for the Expedition Everest Challenge race going on tomorrow. It starts at the end of the parking lot.
-They were inflating the wait times for Dinosaur. It said 20 minutes at one point (it was a walk-on).
-The Yeti is still in B-mode.
-Everest's line was set up strange. They sent everyone through the Fastpass queue. It was nice, the line was moving super fast even though they had 1 less train than they usually do (there was one sitting right past the transfer track).
DSCF1854.jpg
We parked really close. That's Torin's car on the left, and that's cast parking over there.
DSCF1818.jpg
One day I'll figure out how to creatively take a picture of the entrance.
DSCF1819.jpg
If you squint you can see Montu.
DSCF1820.jpg
These tips weren't too helpful, judging by the quality of this picture.
DSCF1823.jpg
If this rhino had a Myspace, this would be its profile picture.
DSCF1824.jpg
While the rhino uses Myspace, this antelope prefers Facebook.

"Great composition, Bryan." said the thompson's gazelle.
DSCF1829.jpg
This guy is so smug. Wipe that grin off your face.
DSCF1830.jpg
The quintessential TPR shot.
DSCF1834.jpg
I lied. This is.
DSCF1832.jpg
Psst. Here's a secret...I took this photo before the previous one.
DSCF1836.jpg
Meanwhile at Primeval Whirl, they covered up some props. I don't know why.
DSCF1837.jpg
They're going balls to the wall with this refurb.
DSCF1838.jpg
It's like RCT in real life!
DSCF1839.jpg
The entire top of the right side is gone.
DSCF1840.jpg
You thought you could escape the nerd shots...
DSCF1842.jpg
Spot the nerds!
DSCF1846.jpg
We gave Triceratop Spin a go, attempting to get pictures of Primeval Whirl. Notice how you don't find any shots of such after this picture.

I went by my lonesome to the Universal duo of parks. There's a lot to report on, but I think the pictures will tell the story. A lot of good, a lot of bad.
DSCF0028.jpg
Never forget.
DSCF0033.jpg
Patience, Bryan, you won't soil your pants today. That's next week.
DSCF0036.jpg
I have this airbrushed on the side of my van.
DSCF0039.jpg
Yay radioactive hamsters!
DSCF0040.jpg
I rode ExtraTERRORestrial Adventure for the first time in many years. Boy is that ride weird. Also, they were using only 1 station, I don't know if this is commonplace or not. I waited about 20 minutes.
DSCF0043.jpg
This is airbrushed on the other side of my van.
DSCF0044.jpg
I had the ULTIMATE sad and pathetic ride on Men In Black. I was the only one in either of the cars. Needless to say, I won. 386,000.
DSCF0049.jpg
Easily the best coffee-themed ride in the tri-county region.
DSCF0050.jpg
I took this picture just so I could say "Spongerobert".
DSCF0051.jpg
This is a picture of me being too short to take a picture of Rockit Mountain.
DSCF0053.jpg
Blue Man is watching you poop.
DSCF0030.jpg
Your wish is my command.
DSCF0056.jpg
Does this count as a nerd shot?
DSCF0059.jpg
Hulk was running great today. It may have helped that it was a walk-on.
DSCF0060.jpg
Dear Spiderman,
Do you like me?
[]Yes []No
DSCF0062.jpg
I'm not sure if I understand what this means. Seriously, does it actually make sense?
DSCF0063.jpg
I'm sorry for using the flash. I was just so excited to show you guys that there's no line.
DSCF0066.jpg
And now is the part of the trip report where I pretend to be Hanno.
DSCF0068.jpg
I like this one.
DSCF0069.jpg
No biting!
DSCF0073.jpg
And that concludes the fake Hanno pictures. Here, enjoy this picture of an empty Jurassic Park line.
DSCF0074.jpg
Empty rows!
DSCF0080.jpg
"O hai. i upgraded ur tor"
DSCF0086.jpg
Nothing to see here!
DSCF0087.jpg
Nope, nothing at all.
DSCF0088.jpg
This thing is a freakin' monolith.
DSCF0089.jpg
What's this I see? Dueling Dragons in Jurassic Park?
DSCF0090.jpg
Gah! They were only running 1 train on each side. It was really really slow.
DSCF0091.jpg
Dueling Dinos.
DSCF0092.jpg
I had to really doctor this photo up. That's the Dueling Dinos entrance for the time being.
DSCF0095.jpg
Everest, anyone?
DSCF0096.jpg
I wonder what that metal used to be.
DSCF0097.jpg
Have you ever seen a more polite ride? No, Mr. In The Hat, I tip my hat to YOU.
DSCF0099.jpg
This guy was talking on his phone.
DSCF0101.jpg
The NBA restaurant was a walk-on.
DSCF0103.jpg
My time has not come yet, Mel.
DSCF0104.jpg
I guess they close this early now? I went to see this about 20 minutes before the park closed and the doors were shut.
DSCF0106.jpg
Thank you, Universal. Boy howdy was it fun.
sc0060cc56.jpg
Here's a bonus: the new map showing the awkwardly placed Dragons entrance.

^ That explains that oddly placed DD sign that I noticed by the Jurassic Park sign a few weeks ago.

Torin and I went to the Hollywood Studios today. Strange things were afoot crowd-wise. Oh, you'll read plenty about it in the captions. Onward!
DSCF0108.jpg
Empty tram at 1:30.
DSCF0109.jpg
Empty tram at 1:31.
DSCF0110.jpg
We went to this one today.
DSCF0111.jpg
Could this TR be any more boring so far?
DSCF0117.jpg
This as you may recognize is a picture of a television with a picture of a maintenance service elevator on it.
DSCF0119.jpg
We were the only people in the sad and pathetic line.
DSCF0122.jpg
$2 for a guitar pick? Really, Disney?
DSCF0123.jpg
Nerd shot in 2 ways.
DSCF0126.jpg
Star tours had a 15 minute wait. What in the hey?
DSCF0133.jpg
Osbourne construction. Snoozefest.
DSCF0136.jpg
Something changed here...
DSCF0139.jpg
We did some obscure attractions today. Oh, it gets worse.
DSCF0142.jpg
Such as this! This photo was taken outside of the Disney Animation thing.
DSCF0143.jpg
Meanwhile, at Lights Motors Action, a car has stalled out. By the way, the rest of these LMA pictures will be in WIDESCREEN.
DSCF0148.jpg
Om nom nom
DSCF0149.jpg
This show was weird. It felt off. I know it came out of refurbishment recently, but there was weird stuff happening, like it taking 3 minutes extra to set up the scenes.
DSCF0155.jpg
Thanks, widescreen!
DSCF0161.jpg
Remember, always wear your helmet when swinging over water.
DSCF0162.jpg
I like this part because it doesn't make sense.
DSCF0166.jpg
Since it took them so long to set up the scenes, the stuff that catches on fire on the guy's suit evaporated and he didn't catch on fire. He got up and shrugged instead of flailing around.
DSCF0167.jpg
Seriously, could this go any worse? The trunk couldn't open!
DSCF0168.jpg
Fap fap fap
DSCF0174.jpg
Aww he's hugging the implied Nazi plane.
DSCF0181.jpg
Until he set it on fire in a...passionate...scene.
DSCF0182.jpg
It's no Tonight Show, but they were filming a commercial for the new American Idol attraction.
DSCF0183.jpg
We did a lot more stuff, including Fantasmic, until it was canceled due to an insane downpour. That's all I have for you. Class is dismissed.

Good stuff Bryan. It heartens me to see how quiet the parks are just now.

Fantasmic better not get cancelled on Saturday!

PICTURE DUMP!

This TR is split into 4 parts over 4 days. I got lazy and didn't want to take pictures, making it not worth it to post those individual days. Part 1 is 10/9, 2 10/10, 3 10/12, and 4 being today (10/15).
DSCF0215.jpg
Part 1: A visit to an almost abandoned building with my mom.
DSCF0216.jpg
It felt wrong to walk around here. It's like we weren't welcome.
DSCF0218.jpg
Impossible!
DSCF0224.jpg
This is the beginning and end of part 2. The park was too crowded to bear.
DSCF0226.jpg
Uh oh.
DSCF0229.jpg
This as you may recognize is a Gary, still in operation, waiting for you.
DSCF0232.jpg
The dummy's feeding tube.
DSCF0233.jpg
Oh boy, an authentic New Jersey median barrier!
DSCF0234.jpg
Where are you, Bill?!
DSCF0235.jpg
And McKim comes dancing up to the camera.
DSCF0241.jpg
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!
DSCF0245.jpg
This is when we punched it harder.
DSCF0251.jpg
The finale!
DSCF0252.jpg
Monorail coral's cobra-like grip on Spaceship Earth.
DSCF0254.jpg
Then Monorail red crashes into the foliage.
DSCF0258.jpg
Oh boy. Here comes the shitstorm.
DSCF0265.jpg
Happy thoughts, Bryan...
DSCF0267.jpg
Exorcizamus te, omnis immundus spiritus, omnis satanica potestas, omnis incursio infernalis adversarii, omnis legio, omnis congregatio et secta diabolica.
DSCF0269.jpg
This at one point was delicious grilled beef.
DSCF0270.jpg
Oh, okay. This is one of them Mexican totem poles.
DSCF0273.jpg
Nord shet.
DSCF0279.jpg
But just then, Chris had an idea. Let's take a look at what he's thinking about...
DSCF0278.jpg
MAKE IT STOP! I WANT OUT!
DSCF0280.jpg
Aww
DSCF0281.jpg
Allison, in her constant need for Disneyland's custodial to be better than Disney World's.
DSCF0288.jpg
Snoozefest.
DSCF0289.jpg
Scott really enjoyed the music in World Showcase and was dancing rather expressively. Note: this is the truth.
DSCF0300.jpg
Zzzzz
DSCF0301.jpg
This concludes this dump of dumpy pictures!
