This thread is simple! Rather than having a million little threads about everything that goes on at Six Flags Great Adventure, this thread is designed to consolidate it all into one user-friendly thread. Feel free to use it to post updates, trip reports, questions, comments, and of course, general discussion. For pictures and videos of the park as well as past updates, see TPR's Park Index Page.

The parking lot is gone, and the plantings are just about to start actually. GA has no real parking lot coasters (like the California parks). The coasters built over the former parking lot (GASM and SUF) had all the blacktop removed or covered over, and the King is getting similar treament.
I'm impressed with how much SFGadv is doing to this whole area! I was really afraid that they'd be spending however many tens of millions of dollars on this coaster and having my old parking space right there underneath the track. Looks like it will be nice and green by May. Can't wait to be sitting on the launch track scared to death! Or at least taking advantage of shorter NITRO lines.
Seriously what is with the west coast Six Flags? I mean seriously I thought that they would at least throw up a few trees or something. I mean it just looks so crappy putting up a ride over a parking lot. If they had put some themed tunnels in or something it would have been cool but west coast Medusa is pathetic.
Robb, I love those pictures. Brings back memories of the Thunderbolt Express at Camden. At least they don't travel over the "Razor Wire of Death".
But seriously, my first impression of Scream last spring was that I can see the "Speedy Gonzalez" Parking Sign upside while going through the corkscrews.
I really don't understand why they couldn't at least *paint over* the white parking lines. I'm sure you could get enought paint for it with only $50 - come on Six Flags, cough up a buck ya cheap bastard.
