Awesome report bill! I always enjoy going to herhseys Christmas event.

coasterbill wrote:It should be noted that the bartneder's response to the customary "Great, how are you?" was a miserable "Unfortunately not dead yet" which left me wondering how it was even possible for an event with a happy, festive name like "Christmas Candylane" to find such genuinely miserable people to work there. Seriously it's not like we just flew in from Disney World, we're used to Six Flags Great Adventure so our standards aren't even all that high. I've never seen such miserable people at any park ever.

I usually see this all the time when I visit the park. Two summers ago, i remember seeing the games employees at their 3 point game acting like they were zombies, and this was only in June. I've experienced better employees at six flags than I have at Hershey.

I can't recall any employees that were visibly miserable to that extent, but I can't think of any that were extremely friendly and outgoing either other than the ones at the ticket and parking booths.
Top 5 Wood- Lightning Rod, Voyage, Coaster (PNE Playland), Phoenix, Boulder Dash

during our stop there this Summer, literally the Happiest employee I saw (and I'm being serious - she was so pleasant and smiling and happy that I asked to take a picture of her) was the "Goth-y" exit operator at the Whip.

(which caused someone, (Robb, or maybe Zach) to respond: "She's smiling because she's not actually having to be on "Shopping Cart: the Ride").

it is astounding that she was the only employee I seemed to see in a good mood, but that's what I noticed.
She was super nice too!

(ETA: when I took her pic, I did mention I'd like to post it as part of my TR, and she was OK with me posting online, so reposting the pic here)

Which came first the turtle or the donkey?

I remember seeing her 2 years ago when I was at the park and she was the same outgoing, smiley gal then as well! Must be a cheery person in general. Nice to see she was in a good mood during your visit too, Bert.
