October 4, 2018: Longfeng Villa Video Resort in Dongguan, Guangdong, China

I went to Longfeng Villa Video Resort today. I had been here once before when it was called Successful Land. That was back in 2011. The park has changed quite a bit since then and has a lot more in the way of rides and attractions now. In addition to expanding a lot, everything is kept up pretty well and prices are great. The park is recognized as a AAAA tourist attraction in China (the highest rating is AAAAA), so that should clue you in on the quality of the park.

In regards to coasters, there is Spinning Coaster, a Beijing Jiuhua spinning mouse and a powered Dragon coaster called Sliding Dragon. While the rides are mostly basic rides here, there are a lot of them and a lot of other things to see and do. A ticket for 138 RMB (very reasonable at about $20 USD) gets visitors admission to pretty much everything in the park. One thing I noticed on the safety rules sign of Spinning Coaster were the words "you must be able to fit in the restraints to ride". This is a much better way of operating a coaster than placing an unreasonable height or weight restriction on the ride. I only hope that more Chinese parks adopt this policy. I have now upped my coaster count to 1172 coasters.

I am returning to this park after having been here in 2011. It used to be called Successful Land.

This is near the front of the park. When I was here before, this area did not have any rides. It has changed a lot.

It's really nice to see lots of greenery around, and underneath, many of the rides there.

Better than asphalt and "trees in oversize planters" here and there, blah blah. Hello Playland(PNE)?

And the tile work on the flume...uh...trench (?) looks nice, too.

Thanks for this TR. The park looks great!

It really is a nice park. The coaster collection is lacking, but the overall experience makes up for that. I would rather ride a mediocre coaster in a great park, than to ride a world class coaster in a park that is horribly managed. One more thing I will mention is the efficiency of the ride ops here, they are great. A bit of a line on the mouse moved very quickly.
