Themeparkmaniac88
Hi All, thanks for reading this post. Does anyone "get used" to a roller coaster and stop feeling the adrenaline rush when you've been on the same ride multiple times?
DoinItForTheFame
Yes. All the time. It's rare that a roller coaster gives me an adrenaline rush anymore, because I am so use to them.
Midgetman82
I think this is the thread I think you're looking for. Simply put, I think the answer to your question is "yes."
coasterbill
I don't ever lose the adrenaline rush but it's a different kind of adrenaline rush. It's a rush, but it's not created by fear. The only rides that still scare me are Sky Coasters and Demon Drop at Dorney.
boldikus
I talked about this in my recent Virginia report when I rode I305 for the first time. It's rare that I ever get an adrenaline rush out of fear anymore, save for a handful of rides on my first go - Kingda Ka, Dragster, Skyrush, I305. But even then its not really fear, its more of... intimidation that I'm about to do something that has a reputation for being completely crazy. I know its going to be fun, and I try to focus on that but all I have to go on are what other people have told me about the ride. But after I do it once, all that goes out the window and I just enjoy it (or hate it) for what it is.
