Casino Pier (Seaside Heights) Discussion Thread

Recommended Posts

^Good guesses but you can tell it's Gerstlauer from the track, Mack has slightly different track connectors and so does Gale Force. You can also see what appears to be a eurofighter tower in the background of that second to last picture. Looking forward to seeing what the layout looks like, i'm sure it's going to be good!

^It looks like it'll be a euro fighter, very nice indeed!

I actually thought Gale Force clone (which would be hilarious) or a Mack spinner.

It will still open before Gale Force

Both EuroFighters I've been on (Dare Devil Dive and Untamed) were fun little rides. I just hope they have the lapbar only trains.

This, in addition to the hopefully-open-by-2017 Gale Force make for a really great reason to go back to the Jersey Shore next year. And here I was only planning on going for the re-vamped SLC.

The Infinity coasters are totally nuts in the best possible way, having been on both Karacho and Monster. Scary hangtime inversions with lapbars, I've literally never purposely tightened my lapbar as much as possible on any other coasters before except these.

As I said elsewhere my original thought was disappointment because now I'll have to go back to this sh*t hole. Apparently people get offended when I point out the fact that Seaside is an unimaginable sh*thole but it is.

Having grown up in Monmouth County and spending tons of time there with friends, I completely agree. The trash can pipe bombs don't help, either.

I grew up going to Seaside, so I'll always remain fond of it, even in its weakened post-Sandy-and-fire shape. My band used to always play at the various bars for quick, easy money. Love this news!

It may be a s**thole, but it's MY s**thole.

I haven't been since before the Summer before Sandy, and of course the subsequent fire, but I have fond memories of my visits to Seaside Heights as well! Granted, I probably haven't experienced the worst it has to offer, but it was always a fun place to spend an afternoon while visiting my relatives in Lavalette nearby. I'm excited about the idea of them getting an actual coaster there, and hope that it might be open by my next visit in June!

Blasphemy!

Great White is running like new and retracked/etc Nor'easter should be an interesting thing to experience. I'm dying to know what thats gonna turn out like. We could have the best SLC in the world (or it could be a complete and total waste of money).

Not to mention all the amazing flats.

Sorry Lar but if you're gonna bash Morey's I'm gonna defend it.
