OMG...Cheezies look awesome!

I admit that Cheetos are my downfall...I know I would love these things. I wonder if they sell them in Ontario? If so, I will look for them the next time I cross the border.

At one time last week I had 7 types of cheese in my fridge:

Aged Provolone

White American

Cheddar

Pecorino Romano

Fresh Mozzarella

Packed Mozzarella

Ricotta

The mozzarella and ricotta are now gone. I'll finish the provolone today and the White American is about to go moldy, so I might need to make a cheese quesadilla tonight.

I'm sure they're sold in Eastern Canada. Don't have a bag here right now, but they are made in East, I think I read, so.... should be No Problem!

They also make them in snack-size bags, in groups of 14 or so, for lunches and "light snacking" lol.

^ They have a Melting Pot fondue place that Michael and I were interested in checking out at a mall in Buffalo.

Can you believe that I have never had fondue before?

Insane, isn't it???

And here is my latest haul during the past couple of weekends...

I LOVE smoked gouda, so got the smoked gouda with bacon as well as smoked gouda bites. The garlic cheese spread sounded interesting, the blue cheese crumbles go great on salad and burgers...and on the bottom, you can see the 'Damn That's Good' taco cheese curds.

More smoked cheese and some jalapeno white cheddar cheese spread....YUM!

^ Interesting bunch of cheeses. It looks like you definitely like a lot of yours "Smoked," yes?

We've had smoky gruyere and cheddar - both very nice.

My "Go To Cheese" is most Havartis, which David doesn't like. Good. More for myself, lol!

Also if eventually, your first future fondue happens, don't go into buying an expensive fondue pot.

Not really necessary, as I will show in a photo or two, coming up.

^Yes...I love the smoked cheeses, Bill!

The prices at the Melting Pot in the Galleria Mall looked quite pricey, but it included things like shrimp and steak to dip in your cheese fondue. Sounded quite interesting and different. I look forward to your upcoming fondue photos.

We are going to Virginia next week so who knows what foodie finds we might encounter - I'll have my camera on the ready!

We're going to a local big store cheese shop a few minutes' drive from here. On the 23rd, they're having a 40% Off Sale of

pretty much everything, including fondue pots etc. As well as any and all cheeses to go into the pot, lol. So we're checking that out.

http://buycheese.com/

But, we found this in our local Safeway, the other day. It's original price was $15 Cdn, but it was on sale and had $5 knocked

off it. So we bought one, and now it sits in the cupboard, ready to be used if we Really want to be Lazy about it, heh.

And Phil, for my "own personal way" of doing fondue... photos coming soon.

How it's all packaged together. And they call it FONDU:...without the E!

What you get, when it's opened. Cool!

Fondu03.JPG.63e9a90ac8458fea08e0a4b689d9f8c9.JPG

Handy hard plastic holder, plus a tea candle to keep the cheese oooey and gooey. This is great!

The two person mini-pot fits easily into the stand. Hmmm. Micro or Ovo....?

Directions on the EMMI Fondu: lid and the inside of the box. I believe #3 means you put it in a cold oven,

start the heat up to 180'C/350'F, and at the same time, start the timer, up to 18-22 minutes. Easy! (o:

Also, we just discovered in our current Safeway flyer,

there is cheese on sale, you can BARBQUE! We were shocked!

The caption with the flyer listing reads...

Perfect for the barbeque,

these cheeses can be

served sliced or cubed.

Choose from Saganaki,

Paneer, Haloumi, Dore-mi

or Queso Fresco.

And they're called Grilling Cheeses.

Huh. We're definitely checking it out, tomorrow.

We got some Maple Syrup cheese while we were driving through Wisconsin, and it's great (Even though it sounds like it would taste really weird).

We went to the Mousehouse in Windsor, WI and the number of cheeses available is overwhelming.

Wisconsin is fantastic

Sooooooooooooo... Speaking of Cheese... I had Chili''s "fried cheese curds" for the first time today, and they were . . . AMAZING!!

I. WANT. MORE.

Cheese curds are amazing! I'm lucky enough to have an A&W in my hometown and they have really good curds!

^ Very nice.

But - our local A&W doesn't have (fried or not) cheese curds.

But then - maybe they don't have it here, because there's great poutine all over town:

e.g. (White Spot) cheese curds on fries, with gravy and/or other toppings. (o:
