derpadederp1999
Just thought I'd start a discussion about the new Thomas Land theme park being built at Edaville USA. For those who haven't heard, remember those Thomas Towns (now Whistlestop Park) at Six Flags, or the Thomas Lands at Drayton Manor and Fuji-Q Highland? Well, this new park, being built in Carver, Massachusetts, is going to be the biggest of them all, at a whopping 11.5 ACRES. Surprising, ain't it? So far, 14 attractions have been confirmed, including a 20-minute ride on a life-size Thomas (it's unknown if this is going to use the replicas built by Metallbau Emmeln or the Day Out with Thomas replica they've had for the past few years), and several Zamperla built attractions, such as the Bertie and Harold rides from Six Flags, the Cranky Drop Tower, the WInston aerial ride, the Blue Mountain Engines and the Troublesome Trucks roller coaster at Drayton Manor, the Bulstrode ride from Drayton Manor and Fuji-Q, a Knapford Station replica with gift shop, a Brendam Docks-themed Food and Beverage shop, a Tidmouth Sheds replica (labeled "Roundhouse Theater"), and a few others. Work started in June, while the groundbreaking was done in August. ATM, no other construction pics have been posted, but you can see the size of the area in this video: (go to the 6:45 point of the video to see the area it's being built on). I'm personally very excited for the new park, and I can't wait to see what they have up their sleeves for it! It looks exceptionally better than the Six Flags areas and Drayton Manor combined! ECZenith
Some family members of went to Edaville this week and really enjoyed the new additions! Apparently there is a sky ride under construction and the water coaster is assembled. I live 10 minutes from here and my grandmother took me all the time as a child. I'm glad to see the place spruced up! I'll likely take my niece this month and will take lots of photos. I was wondering if anyone has been recently , the sky ride has me intrigued. ECZenith
I went for a trip to Edaville USA today for the first time in years. Just wanted to say it was really surprising to see so much progress and new additions since I was a kid. Apparently in addition to Kersplash , Pirate Adventure (rumored to be a dark ride) , bumper boats and a go kart track will open next year. I can't wait to see what else could be in store in the next few years, the place seems to be doing well!
maniacmark
Thanks for this information and photos! My 4.5 year old is a huge Thomas fan and we are thinking about coming to visit Thomas Land this summer (July or August 2017). We're coming from Toronto, Canada. Any tips or advice on where to stay nearby or what else to do on the days we are not at Thomas Land? Do you think 1 day is enough Thomas Land or should we plan for 2 days? Canobie Coaster
Out of curiosity has anyone heard anything about Kersplash at Edaville? It appears to be assembled and was supposed to open in 2017 but it didn't. 2018 came and went and it still didn't open. I've seen a lot of sites list it as opening this year, but I haven't been able to find anything official from the park. I've never been to Edaville even though it's just an hour from me since I keep putting it off until Kersplash opens. I know it's just a small Miler water coaster, but it's a huge addition for a park like Edaville.
Canobie Coaster
I finally stopped by Edaville today. The train passes right by Kersplash and it looks dead over there. There aren't any cars on the track and there isn't even a path leading to it. The park hasn't really said much about Kersplash so I'm wondering if it's still in their plans. They were also supposed to open some sort of Pirates dark ride a while back, but the sign advertising it as coming soon has been removed and there's just a plain white tarp there now.
