Oktoberfest Muinch 2015 Photo TR

Postby K1ngdaKa88 » Fri Oct 02, 2015 12:10 pm

From Monday till Wednesday (09/28-09/30) I went to the Oktoberfest with my father. We stayed in the motel one Muinch south. He was there for a business meeting and I could come with him and then I went on the Oktoberfest!
It started on monday morning, we left our home at 8am and we arrived in our Hotel just before lunch time. We put our luggage into our room and then we took the subway to the Oktoberfest. What is crazy is that in the Subway station next to the Oktoberfest 2 lines go and each one every 10 minutes, so approximately a train every 5 minutes. But there left so many people that a constant stream of humans came up the two escelators! I don't want to know how it is on the weekend!! :mike:
On Tuesday I went to Therme Erding in the afternoon, a gigantic indoor water park! Oh, and there is a Slide where you jump! Like on a ski jump! :airtime:
I also made many POV's and the first one is already online! Here it is:

So now let's get to the photos:
image.jpg
the first Thing you see!
image.jpg
a 200ft tall starflyer
image.jpg
so, let´s ride it! uhhhh, my first first class flight!!!
image.jpg
The ride is now over, so lets´s go and look what other rides are there too.
image.jpg
Konga, a huge and nice themed Pendulum ride, with fire effects!
image.jpg
next, the dueling Wild Mouse, which was always dueling! :D
image.jpg
some more sick making rides
image.jpg
and a 200ft tall vertical ride. (It,'s not a drop Tower, more like an fast exelerating Elevator!
image.jpg
And you can see in which floor the ride is at the moment! on this photo it´s on the 4th floor.
image.jpg
Facts
image.jpg
Classical ride
image.jpg
Alpina Bahn
image.jpg
Great themed entrance!
image.jpg
an overlook how huge the Oktoberfest is!
image.jpg
Ohh, I can see Olympia Looping!
image.jpg
but you have to walk 1/2 mile frome one to the other end of the Oktoberfest!
image.jpg
some more thrilling flat rides
image.jpg
I made it without falling! first I almost fell, but I got myself safe and made it, with POV comming soon! ;)
image.jpg
Lach-Freu-Haus, a great Fun House
image.jpg
next the indoor Spinning coaster with a cool laser Show inside
image.jpg
next, a coaster, taller than all others, longer than any other and loopier than any other coaster on the Fun Fair Worldwide, the Olympia Looping!
image.jpg
after the best coaster on the Oktoberfest, let´s go to the worst one! This Thing is pretty rough!
image.jpg
some more Fun Houses
image.jpg
so, let´s go on a 265ft drop tower
image.jpg
and a Powered Coaster
image.jpg
and now to the reason why (nearly) everyone comes to the Oktoberfest, BEER
image.jpg
These tents are huuge
image.jpg
oh, and that´s the first what you see when you Exit the subway.
image.jpg
Is this Robb´s favourite sign on the Oktoberfest?
image.jpg
Let´s go over to the "Oide Wiesen" (Old Oktoberfest) where some really old attractions are, like a really old bumper car.
image.jpg
Lach-Freu-Haus in the dark
image.jpg
nearly all rides look great in the dark
image.jpg
...
image.jpg
...
image.jpg
so, what about a ride on Alpina Bahn in the dark? sure!
image.jpg
And Olympia Looping in the dark??
image.jpg
SURE!!
image.jpg
Ferris Wheel
image.jpg
on Tuesday afternoon I went to Therme Eridng, a giant indoor Waterpark. I only have Pictures from the outside.
image.jpg
on the way back We saw a Theme Park
image.jpg
but we didn´t visited it, because we didn´t had enough time! :(

Awesome photos, my only complaint is that you didn't take more! :b

I hope to one day go to one of these crazy European fairs, the rides are so much more impressive with all the themeing and lights. Thanks for sharing

I totally agree. The only "actual fair" I've been to is the Florida State Fair, and it was kinda sucky. The rides were really rough, and the lighting was quite unimpressive. Dang it Europe, you always have to one-up me

I can't tell how american Fairs are, but the Fairs here in Europe are good, but more expensive than a theme park, if you ride a lot of coasters! :lmao:

I just went to an annual Carnival setup in Paris last month, and spent nearly $30 Cdn,
just to ride the two coasters, and the two dark rides. Didn't take long to spend that much.
I still had a great time, and a new found beer I enjoyed (twice), so I`d spend that much again, easy.

So, would you pay 5 Euros to ride this? I did.

I love Oktoberfest after dark. Although u are drunk, the lights make such a difference. I went to Wurstmarkt in Bad Dürkheim this year instead of Oktoberfest. Pretty much the same deal with plenty of rides and coasters, but the theme was wine, not beer. Loved it! Next year Oktoberfest again!

The last time I was in Munich it was opening day of Oktoberfest and it rained all day. Bummed I didn't get to ride anything. This report makes me want to go back!
