Nice memories in your report, Jake. This was the first and only Legoland I've ever visited, so I really enjoyed it!
I have to add that it's also the only park on the trip where I actually ran out of time without seeing everything by the time we left. And that wasn't due to queues - we had our passes to solve that - it just had so much cool stuff to see and do!
Update time! Djurs Sommerland was next and highly anticipated for all trip participants because of the Intamin MegaLite, Piraten. It was a first for most of us, and did not disappoint! On to the photos...
When you see an Intamin ride behind the trees...it's time to get excited!
The park staff was eager to meet us and super friendly!
Always a nice touch to get something like this for our visit :)
Here we go!!!
Just kidding! We started our day with the brand new Juvelen!
You can't see any of the ride from the station, keeping most of it a surprise.
Here we go! Nice gentle launch for the family
The first half of the ride is a nice coast through the "jungle"
The second launch is where the ride really picks up speed and a nice kick!
Love flying through all of the theming!
The ride is twisty!
How about a back seat ride?
Everyone loved Juvelen!
Another train of happy riders goes by! Thanks to Djurs for the super long ERT (we started at 7:30 am???)
And now it was finally time for 90 minutes of Piraten ERT!
THAD AND STEVE ANNOUNCE ALL THE FATTIES CAN RIDE!!!
Have fun Soupy!!!
How about a front seat ride to start?
Here we go!!!
I love s-hills and Piraten is PACKED with them!
Take the tunnel!
These hills were insane!
Twist and eject!
Looks like airtime to me!
How good was 90 minutes on Piraten?!?! I think I got over 10 rides.
The park did eventually open, and there were more coasters to ride!
We survived the new water coaster in the 50 degree temps!
The wacky worm here was a little special...
It was my 600th!
These guys also needed the credit :)
The locals show how to use the "barrel of death"
Next up, we got hammered by Thor
Don't look up!
This was my first bobsled coaster!
The ride starts with a bunch of quick turns...
...followed by a series of airtime hills...
..with another twisty finale!
The video crew dropping in
Credits done, it was time to explore the park. Do you think I can make it up?
Doing pretty well!
Alright! Made it up my first try! Not too bad for a fatty.
We also got toppled. Is this the only one running???
Craig ate pizza.
Only a slightly racist boat ride...
Something funny happened
Just gorillas skiing from gators!
The park has a pretty large ropes course. I love Europe.
We tried hard not to kill ourselves!
Even the simplest of obstacles will catch you off guard!
These guys tried to take it easy, but that didn't last long :)
Never in America...being handed raw dough.
I attempted to bake it, and failed pretty hard.
How about some final rides on Piraten?
The temps picked up all day and so did the ride!
Such a little ride kicks so much ass.
Flying around another s-curve.
Thad in the front row totally ruins it
Seriously, so much airtime on every element on this ride.
It turned out to be a beautiful day!
And one last shot for ya.
I loved the ride almost as much as Soupy loves me!
How else could we end the day other than a huge ice cream cone? I ate EVERY LITTLE BITE. Anyways, next up is a stop at Tivoli Frieheden!
