simon8899
Finally a great sunny day to visit this years Spring DOM. Sadly no Schwarzkopf coaster this spring which is quite a letdown but some nice flats compensate at least partially for it. What great weather to head for the carnival... Lion King theatre and the ferry to get there First ride of the day on the Mondial Shaker The Wieland Schwarzkopf/Gerstlauer Absoluter is a Hamburg first this spring Spotting a new credit Already getting packed after 4pm Poeple sticking to the wall like flies Mondial Inferno - somehow they only put riders in the last two rows while already having a line... Atlantis Rafting had a 30 minutes line... HighFlyer in front of the historic WWII air-raid bunker View over the pleasure district of St. Pauli with the harbour in the back An Anton Schwarzkopf Monster a few meters down from is younger inverted twin View down the midway Kiddie bumper cars Here there be Sharks All part of a walkthrough Freshly baked Some midway games to finish the first half, more to come soon... cfc
A walk-through attraction themed to pirates and sharks? How can you go wrong with that?
coasterbill
I'm always shocked to see a Wild Wind that's actually operating. I'd love to ride one of these one day just to say I did it.
simon8899
^They even let one do two spins for one admission. The loop and helix wasn't that bad but the entry into the final brake gave me some back pain. The operations was also unique: The coaster was run by one Italian guy not really fluent in German or English and just ordered "Alle Zu!" ("All Close!") and not even checking if restraints were properly closed...
bcampione
Found a video of the coaster - OUCH!

simon8899
Finally the second bunch of pics from my visit last Saturday. As the sun set the lights came on... Big fun on the Big Monster And it was the time to switch on the light package Lots of water - and lots of riders for the rafting A Star Trek themed ride? A HUSS Booster??? No! A HUSS Take-Off by any other name... Still a fun high-intense ride Historic mechanical organ DOMDancer switched on the dry ice machine Even the Frisbee had a line today More midway games I waited nearly half an hour and got two spins for €4, so the second time you knew when it was going to hurt... Final round on the ferris wheel Thats all folks! Not sure if I will visit a second time as Osterwiese is on in Bremen plus several smaller carnivals in Kiel and Flensburg. And those have two new Spinning Mouse credits...
