Nice to see the track being installed now. Have the cars been delivered yet?

When are they looking to open this. i will be in Vegas in march and want to knock out both rides

It is scheduled to open in December. However, with new rides, you can never be 100% sure. Just look at Undertow at SCBB...

Very true! I always assume rides will be delayed for some reason or another.

I understand it though. It might all look great on paper, but after fabrication, easy to run into issues you missed.

Hi everyone, quick update!

Supports and track are starting to be installed in the main shall we say "arena" of the ride.

I am going to go out on a limb and say that this is definitely not the standard model. Just look at how that drop curves at the bottom.

Yeah, I really don't consider this as a "standard" El Loco anymore.

I really hope we see more El Locos sprout up all over the world. They look like seriously fun coasters.

Moving quick! Might have to go check out the construction as an excuse to go to Vegas.

It wasn't the standard model as soon as the first piece of track got installed...you're hardly going out on a limb.

I'm just really excited to see what this layout ends up being. It looks fantastic already!

That yellow track looks really sharp against all that pink in the dome. This ride will surely stand out.

I'm going to be in Vegas at the end of the week. I will have to see if I can make a little time to stop by and check this out.

Wow! I'm really happy to know that this design will be a custom layout. From the good comments on the El Locos with lap-bars, I'm sure this ride will be awesome. The compact layouts of the El Loco and S&S's unique design abilities make the El Loco seem like a perfect ride for any park, big or small, and yet all of the El Locos around the world have been slight variations of the same layout, until this year. I hope to see even more of these pop up globally!

I was talking about the main arena of the ride. You can have the station and such in other locations, but have the bulk of the ride be the same. Just look at the Scooby-Doo wild mouse in Australia. It was kind of assumed that since every El Loco coaster thus far has been the same layout, this one would be too.

This is getting very interesting! And as someone pointed out over CoastersWorld.fr, there will be another portion of track next to it! A drop, an inversion..?

No Cars on site as far as I can tell.

Hey everyone! Here's a quick update from today! More supports have been brought into the dome and the twist and dive into the break run has started to be installed. It is quite impressive how close the supports of El Loco come to the existing infrastructure inside the park. It is interesting to see just how much the ride is starting to dominate the southwest corner of the park. From the looks of it as well, El Loco will be a very photogenic ride!

I'm really happy this ride is happening! It looks awesome so far!

Yay for more construction pictures! They're moving along really well! Looks great so far.

The park will be closed after fright dome during the first full week of November for four days. I am interested how much construction can be done in that short amount of time. The park will also be closed for 4 days during the second week of December.

I find it amazing how much they do in the after hours when the park closes at 6:00PM and reopens at 11:00AM during the mid week.

Can't wait to ride!

I love that inline roll. It looks like the coaster is making the most of it's unique setting! Plenty of opportunities for near misses and head choppers.

I wonder where the lift and turnaround are going to be? It's kind of looking like it'll be up on the mountain.

Its been many years since I've been to the Adventuredome. This is definitely looking like the coaster to get me to go back. Thanks for the updates.

I'm often not a fan of yellow paint on coasters, but this color scheme looks like it will fit well with its surroundings. Looking forward to riding this! I loved Steel Hawg the last time I rode it, and this could be even better.
