SixFlagsAstroworld
May 24th, 2008 After 2 years of construction, the newest park outside of Osaka, Japan: Mirai Park, opened just in time for the summer season. The park mainly has several rides that were relocated from the now defunct Six Flags Cypress Adventures. The only 2 rides that weren't relocated from Six Flags Cypress Adventures are the Giant Wheel (a hubless ferris wheel), and the park's signature premier launched coaster: Space MAX. Overview of Mirai Park Batman the Ride was relocated and renamed "Meltdown". They reused the original station building and replaced all the Batman references Looping Starship Breakdance. Even the ride sign was reused from Six Flags Viper became "The Black Hole" Rodeo is now Tri-Storm X Flight is one of the most popular rides in the park. It used to be Superman Runaway Mountain is outdoors now, its now called Mini Mighty Formerly Joust Acrophobia got new colors and was renamed "Gravity" Gunslinger got some space themeing and is now known as "Odyssey" Road Runner Express was repainted and renamed "Space MAX JR" as a kiddie version of the park's signature coaster Space MAX going through Giant Wheel Space MAX. The park was off to a great start, being a big hit with the guests, but what was noticeable was the lack of themeing in some areas of the park. Officials of Mirai Park announced that they weren't done with the park yet and it will have a lot more themeing by 2009.
