I would be willing to bet money the River will be just like the one at Schlitterbahn. If you look at the park map you can see where the wave generating machine will be, just like it is at Schlitterbahn.
Bigger is not always better.

I love donkeys more than me.

I think this will get a lot of the Knoxville water park traffic if done correctly and prices right. My wife and I are already talking about dropping our Splash Country season passes for this. We can get here in about 30 mins.

Because this one is supposed to be opened to the public and full size unlike the other parks at this resort.

Last I heard, even resort guest had to pay for this park, although would get a discounted rate.

Not even a link to the park's website?
https://soakymountainwaterpark.com/
or social media?

Wilderness is open to the public (~$45/day). You don't have to be staying at the resort.
Resort guests get the old water parks free, but have to pay for the Adventure park.

The article says resort guests "are expected to get preferred admission pricing."

Odd that it's just now hitting the site/news.

Ground breaking was Aug 6 https://www.wildernessatthesmokies.com/blog/soaky-mountain-waterpark-coming-summer-2020/

Fox13 didn't cover it until a week later?

Knoxnew covered it in July though. https://www.knoxnews.com/story/entertainment/2019/07/08/wilderness-smokies-announces-new-soaky-mountain-waterpark/1673362001/

Barely a glimpse of the coaster. But enough to find it on the map (lower left by parking lot).

Also some footage of the river (from other parks they've done?)

We loved the Torrid River, I think combined we spent nearly 2 maybe even 3 hours in the thing. Much better them most wave pools out there.
