^ Haha, yeah the planning definitely started with "What can we do with Union Station?" and not "Where should we put a Ferris wheel?" This should have excellent views of a double stacked freeway and a giant rail yard. Ooh, and for the next couple of years, a huge construction zone as MoDOT rebuilds all of the I-64 exits around there for better access to the new NGA campus.

I can't speak of the view from the top of the wheel yet, but the axle provided pretty nice view of the city's skyline.

The lights on the wheel look fantastic at night.
