Cedar Point June 2018 Photo TR

Postby FocalRanger » Thu May 09, 2019 10:56 pm

Had such a great time on this trip! Went for two days and rode every coaster including Steel Vengeance once. The lines for SteVe were consistently at least 1.5hrs or more. However, the one ride my group and I caught was a backseat ride at sunset... amazing to say the least. I explored the beach for the first time and it was actually one of the highlights of the trip for me. Great views of Magnum and lots of scenic wildlife. Other than that I was really loving Magnum this year too. Maybe it was the bugs that added to the thrill and fun but I was laughing way too hard every ride. And while I love the view from the top of MF, I'd say the view from Magnum's apex is slightly nicer in my opinion. Anyways, onto the photos! Hope you guys enjoy!

Sandusky Bay has some gnarly looking fish. We found a couple of these on the beach.

Awesome photos! Thank you for sharing.

I love those night/dusk shots especially and the ones of Maverick!

Just curious. How were the crowds overall? (besides the per usual insane SV wait )

Overall, crowds were okay. The coasters near the front like Gatekeeper, Raptor, and Valravn would consistently have fairly long waits. However, towards the end of the night lines began to let up.....except for SteVe haha.

Nuthin' better than a naked donkey!

Some A+ long-zoom shots in this set. Lots of nice composition. The gull on the Pink's sign is a favorite. Great post!

Thank You! My 55-250mm lens came in very handy and is becoming my favorite one to use for theme parks/coasters.

Thanks! I really appreciate that. The beach was the best place for pics of Magnum imo.
