Sorry about the delay on part 3...been a crazy week. I did throw some pictures from a trip to the park that I took several years ago as well.

So here we go...

The park has a decent collection of kids rides.
20180702_105940.jpg
The kids will also like the looney tunes
20180630_203753.jpg
Do they use this anymore?
20180701_160740.jpg
There is also another animal area
20180702_133928.jpg
The kids can feed the goats in this area

20180701_160722.jpg
Gaters!
20180630_182952.jpg
I was really impressed how clean and well kept the park was. They also had some great theaming.

Here is the mine train station
20180701_154845.jpg
And the God awful restraints.
20180701_132559.jpg
Does anybody know if this is an old car from rolling thunder?

I "think" this ride was called tax twister, or something along those lines. If I remember, it used to be near Houdini.

Viper...now el toro's area

You can see el toro's station used to be used for this togo death machine

On behalf of Fred and Willma, I say goodbye from six flags great adventure. Stay tuned for the next update from Hershey chocolate world.

When did they change Mine Trains restraints from the "same position on every row of a car" type?

They changed the lap bars in 2006.

Thanks for sharing some older photos of the park! I didn't get there until 2010, so I never got a chance to ride Great American Scream Machine or Viper. I definitely can't complain about the latter's replacement though. :airtime:

I was thrown by the old photos for a bit until I went back and re-read the beginning haha. I got to the construction photo of Kingda Ka and then the old Rotor and was like waaaaait a minute. Nice walk down memory lane for me!

On our swing back towards home, we swung by Hersheys chocolate world to stock up on some snacks and check out the tour.

It's been years since we have been here, so I really don't remember much from our first visit. What a cool tour that is more of a dark ride type of thing. This does not go thru the actual factory, but a loose recreation of how chocolate is produced in the factory. The best part is at the end when they give you a sample size bar of Hershey chocolate.

Let's take a look shall we....

We are here...
20180703_111719.jpg
Lots of people
20180703_112345.jpg
20180703_112022.jpg
And it wouldn't be Hershey chocolate world without all kinds of chocolate Hershey candies and souvenirs.
20180703_114638.jpg
They also sell these HUGE chocolate bars!
20180703_111855.jpg
This was our reason for the visit.
20180703_112537.jpg
While in line, they have lots of information on how chocolate is produced. Here are just a few...

Once you navigate the Q line and get your picture taken, you arrive at the loading platform.

You're ride vehicle has a screen.
20180703_113124.jpg
On the tour, you go thru various scenes of the chocolate making process. Here are a few of the scenes.

I actually don't think I've ridden the Chocolate World dark ride in my past few visits. Thanks for reminding me to do so. Good update!
