California: Twisted Colossus, unless Railblazer completely blows me away when I ride it next month. Florida: Expedition Everest (I only went to Disney, haven't been to SWO, Universal, or BGT). Maryland: Superman: Ride of Steel Massachusetts: Wicked Cyclone Nevada: El Loco New Jersey: El Toro North Carolina: Fury 325 Ohio: Maverick (haven't ridden SV). Pennsylvania: Skyrush South Carolina: Intimidator, but Afterburn isn't far behind. Utah: Cannibal Virginia: Intimidator 305
I LOVE Railblazer, but Twisted Colossus is still my favorite coaster in California.
South Carolina is now Copperhead Strike. I love that ride way more than I should. 2nd favorite in the park.
New state: Georgia: Goliath at SFOG. I love Twisted Cyclone, but Goliath was an awesome hyper and more along my taste in rides.
California: Ghostrider (out of USH, Knotts, and SFMM - this ride is f**king bonkers if you didn’t know) Illinois: Goliath Missouri: Outlaw Run Ohio: Maverick (yes, over SV) Pennsylvania: Storm Runner (only been to Hershey, pre-Skyrush) Maryland: Superman Kentucky: Storm Chaser Georgia: Goliath (haven’t been on TC) Florida: Mako Virginia: toughest call yet - I haven’t been on TT and I feel like i305 deserves another chance, so for now I’m going to default to Griffon, which I really do love New Jersey: El f**king Toro Texas: NTaG Tennessee: Thunderhead (no LR yet for me )
That I've done: Connecticut: Boulder Dash Massachusetts: Wicked Cyclone New York: Comet @ Great Escape Vermont: Timber Ripper Mountain Coaster New Jersey: El Toro Pennsylvania: Skyrush Tennessee: Lightning Rod North Carolina: Fury 325 South Carolina: Intimidator (yes, over copperhead and afterburn) Florida: Expedition Everest Texas: Iron Rattler Utah: Alpine Coaster @ Park City California: Xcelerator
CC:153 Top 10: El Toro, Lightning Rod, Fury 325, Skyrush, Wicked Cyclone, Iron Rattler, Boulder Dash, Superman The Ride, Nitro, Phoenix
These are my favorites, in the States with coasters I've been to, and been on! (I'm going to put my Runner-Up in parenthesis, just for fun!)
California: Tatsu - SFMM (Xcellerator - Knott's) Colorado: Sidewinder??? Twister II??? The Flying Coaster??? All the Elitch coasters are bad, and I can't pick one! New Jersey: El Toro - SFGAdv (Nitro - SFGAdv) North/South Carolina: Fury - Carowinds (Afterburn - Carowinds) Ohio: Steel Vengeance - CP (Maverick/MF tied - CP) Pennsylvania: Phantom's Revenge - Kennywood (Ravine Flyer II - Waldameer) Tennessee: Lightning Rod - Dollywood) Wild Eagle - Dollywood) Texas: Superman: Krypton Coaster - SFFT (Poltergeiest - SFFT) Virginia: Twisted Timbers - KD (This should be Volcano... RIP Apollo's Chariot - BGW) Washington: Classic Coaster - Washington State Fair Ontario (Canada): Behemoth - CW (Vortex - CW Clearly, I haven't been there since Leviathan and Yukon Striker!)
-Looking at my Top 10, I have 3 coasters in Ohio there, and then no other state with more than one, with the Carolinas, Virginia, Indiana, NJ, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Pennsylvania all represented. -Broadening it to Top 25, Ohio has 7 coasters there, with 3 of them being at KI. However, in spite of not having any Top 10 coasters, Florida has the second most coasters in my Top 25, with 4 (almost 5!) Pennsylvania comes in third with 3. -One of the most interesting things, broadening it more, and looking at the states, is that through the Top 40, the state with the most coasters, is not Ohio... but rather Florida! With 9 coasters in my Top 40, it tops Ohio by 1! Broaden that to Top 50, and I add no more Ohio coasters, but do have the now-defunct Dueling Dragons coasters, giving Florida 11, if non existent coasters are counted. An impressive showing by the parks of Florida, which reinforces why I love going there every few years for coaster riding, as their percentage of excellent coasters is very high!
