I'm really excited for this to open! It's nice to be getting some good rides in the Bay Area.

It's really strange how the drop looks almost vertical from that angle, but it's no where near that in reality. The new prelift is definitely better than the flat turns that were there before.
Is this a trick question?

Looks fantastic! I'm enjoying the colors more than I thought I would. It's great to see another RMC that isn't red.

I agree, the colors go well with the wood color. Makes it pop more

Dang I wish I could have made it on Tuesday. Still time left for one more trip in 2015 though!

That drop looks stunning. I was skeptical of it when I saw the animation but it looks far more awesome now that it's up! Gonna have some sweet airtime on that :)

So for the last 3 years my son and I have gone to the park for New Year's Eve. They do fireworks at midnight and close right after. This year though, the website lists a close time of 8 pm. Can anyone confirm that this is true and there will be no NYE event?

I noticed the same thing too! I was wondering about it. I don't think the website would lie about the hours but why wouldn't they do a NYE event this year?

EDIT: The most recent newsletter doesn't say anything about it either and I think they'd probably mention it if they were staying open until midnight and having fireworks.

I ended up calling in to ask about it... They are indeed closing at 8 tonight. The reason I was given was that they didn't want to do fireworks with the drought. Seemed like some BS since its pretty wet right now and was much drier last year. I was probably not the first to complain either, as the woman I was speaking to almost immediately instructed me on the complaint process. Pretty bummed about this as it was getting to be a tradition for my son and I.
