Thorpe Park Discussion Thread

Postby Rooey » Wed Aug 31, 2005 10:20 am

Hey everybody!

This thread is simple! Rather than having a million little threads about everything that goes on at Thorpe Park, this thread is designed to consolidate it all into one user-friendly thread. Feel free to use it to post updates, trip reports, questions, comments, and of course, general discussion. For pictures and videos of the park as well as past updates, see TPR's Park Index Page.

______________________________________________________________________________________________ the official site, has on its front page a voting option to choose the name of the new launched rocket coaster due to be opened next year, code named "Project Stealth".

The choices are as follow:
Peak Fear
The Edge
Demon’s Drop
The Humdinger

Is it me or are these absolutely dreadful names for what is going to be the parks landmark coaster and will no doubt generate a ton of publicity over here and within the coaster community. It seems Tussauds are running out of ideas for good names, gone are good names like "Nemesis", "Oblivion", "Air" , "Rita", "Rush", "Slammer" and now one of these choices. I do hope they think of something better.

You know, years ago there used to be a topless bar called the Humdinger, just down the street from Disneyland. :P You gotta go with that name.
