Hersheypark (HP) Discussion ThreadP. 988: "Christmas in Hershey" 2018 offerings announced!Users viewing this topic: No registered users and 6 guests Re: Hersheypark (HP) Discussion ThreadI love getting all these announcements early. I figure what Hershey is doing in 2020 is going to be gigantic with adding the new land and all...They're going to need to start working on it right away. Wise decision for the park imo. Can't wait! 2020 is going to be an awesome year!
Re: Hersheypark (HP) Discussion ThreadI can't wait to see what they announce!
What does everyone think will happen to the old entrance area (meaning the shops)? It's crowded which makes sense to move it but I love that area and would hate to see it demolished. Re: Hersheypark (HP) Discussion ThreadSo that's two parks today that basically announced their 2020 additions!?!?
Re: Hersheypark (HP) Discussion ThreadAre they going to surpass their 5lb Hershey bar with a 10lb Hershey bar?!
How about doubling up on the 1lb Reese Cup and make it 2lb ![]() ...so this is the B&M hyper announcement or teaser I guess {1991} Chicago guy. Creative ad world guy with @adultswim @cartoonnetwork World traveler, concert attendee, salsa connoisseur, comic reader, and theme park nerd
Re: Hersheypark (HP) Discussion ThreadI understand and totally respect all the comments on the differences , pros and cons of adding another potentially similar ride to Skyrush to the new area at Hersheypark. But what if they’re actually going with a groundbreaking hybrid coaster ? With the tech available today, it wouldn’t be anything for RMC or even GCI to create a wooden hybrid hyper of some type.
Re: Hersheypark (HP) Discussion ThreadI think that would certainly blow some minds.
Re: Hersheypark (HP) Discussion Thread
I would love that but the B&M on the permits makes me doubt the possibility. I really don’t love B&M but even my thick head has accepted it’s going to be a B&M hyper. FYI I am still really pro Wildcat RMC.
Re: Hersheypark (HP) Discussion ThreadWhoa. I didn’t even read the B&M part about the permits. Maybe a dive machine? The area of expansion has a lot of leeway with what they can do over there
Re: Hersheypark (HP) Discussion ThreadIf they waste all that money on a Beemer instead of giving Comet a much-needed refurb then they're just being silly. I'm not saying RMC-ify Comet, but that thing really needs some TLC. Last time I rode it I was surprised it held together.
Re: Hersheypark (HP) Discussion ThreadI don't know when your last visit was, but Comet ran awesome this season. It was HP's smoothest wooden coaster when I visited in June.
