I have a BGW Platinum pass I bought in November 2017 (I just doublechecked the email they sent me when I bought it to be sure) and I still get all the extras (preferred parking, 10% discount on everything, etc) at every other park I've used it at (BGT, SWO, Discovery Cove and Sesame). Just saying.

Orca Encounter has officially replaced One Ocean on the daily show schedule beginning on January 1.

I'll try to reserve judgement but uh... yeah...

Getting rid of the show is dumb on many levels. I'm so mad at humanity.

Yeah, like I said in the group I guess we’ll wait and see but my gut says that nobody who doesn’t like SeaWorld will suddenly be okay with SeaWorld because they have an orca show with less music and nobody that likes SeaWorld will be happy about a less interesting Shamu show.
You're also losing Miracles and Shamu's Celebration: Light Up The Night which have been a big draw to keep crowds in the park later through dinner on the few days where they were actually open late.
This seems like a lose-lose proposition. The only thing that should make these new shows more interesting than One Ocean is that since they're still promising splashing and they're now adding fish in the tank it's only a matter of time before Shamu accidentally hurls a flying sea bass at a spectator.

I'm glad we saw the show again a few weeks ago since I completely forgot they were doing this soon. I'm curious to see what exactly the Orca Encounter show is going to be.

I'd bet anything that It's going to be One Ocean without music and the trainers just talking about the whales as they perform exactly the same behaviors that they already perform. They've made subtle changes to the show already over the last few months that sort of back up that theory.

That's really not too bad then if that's the case. We watched the Xmas version of the show as well when we went and it was basically the same show except some Xmas music was added in.

Seaworld just ran their first presentation of "Orca Encounter".
It's One Ocean. It's so "One Ocean" that first song is the same, slightly remixed. They added some nice educational moments that they were already phasing in, brought back interactivity and added a nice patented SeaWorld guilt trip scene at the end. Then they played music and did totally not theatrical, definitely not show-like things in this new "not-show".
Personally I'm very happy because this "not theatrical whale show" is a better theatrical whale show than the last theatrical whale show, I'm also very confused.
