I wonder if all of the cars will have roofs. I'll be down there this weekend and will try to take some pictures of any construction that may be happening on the pier.

I'm just not sure how I feel about that canopy/roof. I'm guessing just the lead car will have it.

Here is another shot of it courtesy of Neil, one of the maintenance dudes on the pier.

Related, a recent Wildwood Video Archive clip shows off some great drone/aerial shots of the pier. Runaway Tram might be small but its eating up a huge chunk of the pier.

Oh and we clearly didn't talk about this here yet! After a rocky 2018, IT got some off season love topped off with a new paint job and LED light package. Stoked!

And yes, still has its tiny little lapbars! :lover:

Those trains are hilarious. I didn't think they could make It look any better, but they've absolutely done it.

^ Yeah I can't wait to ride this under the full moon late at night before they close down the pier and send everyone home. I'm a sucker for a good lighting package, and it was already great to begin with -- I can't wait to see what kind of madness it looks like in action.

So... I'm down in Wildwood for car Show weekend. Only Mariner's was open tonight (PigDog was not yet open for the year so no review there). Some notable changes pictured below. More updates tomorrow.

Surprisingly Wildwood was quite dead this weekend. I understand it's still the off season but between the car show (which was very sparsely populated) and gymnastics competition I expected it to be busier. Guess the forecast played a part.

Anyway, updates from Surfside Pier.
