I remember the Eighth Voyage of Sinbad show being kind of awful when I visited the park a few years ago.
Was the show ever good, or was it always like that?

The Sinbad show was a little different when IOA first opened, but it always has been pretty cheesy.

The Sinbad show wasn't nearly as bad as Bandits Out of Time. *shudder*

SharkTums wrote:^Funny story about the Sinbad show!

When Robb and I were narrowing down wedding locations (a long time ago!) we had it down to Universal or Disney. We did a great tour of Universal with their events people and were really close to booking the wedding/reception in Lost Continent with the main meal at Mythos, would have been awesome! The point of contention that ruined the deal was that they insisted we *HAD* to include one showing of the Sinbad show at a cost of $5k. Nope. Dealbreaker.

I think you made the right decision by getting Chip & Dale instead!

I wonder with the Sinbad show leaving if that means they're slowly going to start taking out more and more of The Lost Continent until nothing remains ... or is Mythos what's spearheading that area at this point?

^I think there are 3 possibilities:

1.) They will "fix" the Lost Continent by putting in bigger and better attractions.
2.) Harry Potter will take over the rest of LC.
3.) LC will be themed to another IP.

My feeling is that 2 & 3 are more likely.

If that area turns into more "Potterverse", I'd say Universal has just about created an actual Harry Potter Park.
In two sections/Lands, connected by the train.

Wonder what they could/would do with Kong.... ;)

P.S. Are Harry Potter fans called....Pottheads? <smile>

If this is the start of the rumored Ministry of Magic expansion I will be very, very upset.

There's a non-zero sum possibility that there's no real thought put into this other than "save money because our attendance is actually down right now".
