Has anybody noticed the supposed land clearing by Excalibur?

I was at the park Wednesday, May 16 and had a great day. We arrived a little after 11 and were done by 3. Everything was a walk on for most of the day. Delirius was closed every time I saw it, but I did get my first rides on North Star.

Rides for the day:
Wild Thing- 4
X’treme Swing- 3
Power Tower (drop side)- 2
High Roller- 1
Renegade- 2
Excalibur- 1
North Star- 2
Steel Venom- 1
Northern Lights- 2

Pretty good day considering I got 18 rides in less than 4 hours.

Hey guys! I just wanted to pop in and say thanks for all of the great tips. We had a great time at the park yesterday! Special thanks to RCjunkie for coming out and hanging with us for a bit too!

I’ll have a full report eventually, but we really liked this place. Wild Thing in the front car is a blast. That was definately the highlight for us. That second hill has floater air that seems to go on for days.

Yes it does. When you come out this way, definitely make sure to do the same on Mamba, it has the same sort of airtime as Wild Thing.

I rode Excalibur earlier today and I did notice some substantial land clearing/trees knocked down just north of the ride. Not going to say it means imminent removal but it looks like something to keep an eye on.

^ Interesting, thanks for the information. Did you see any heavy equipment out there or in the back employee parking lot? I checked the building and work permits for the city of Shakopee and nothing was posted yet. But, I have seen them post permits weeks after the actual work has been started on other projects. I will make an effort to get there Thursday night if it is not raining and check it out. Anyone else see or know of anything?

There were no heavy construction machines there that I could see.

On another note, I noticed High Roller received a new braking system that’s making it run better. When I rode it, the first trim brake was on pretty light and I don’t think the second one activated at all. This resulted in some nice airtime in the newly retracked section of the ride. :airtime:

Good to hear!
When we were there last summer, they were having issues with the braking system.

Renegade is also getting some track work done. Maintenance was working on it this morning.

I can also say that after today's shift, I can operate 2 credits: Mad Mouse and Delirious. ;) :p
