Silverwood Discussion Thread

Postby Damien666 » Sun Nov 06, 2005 7:57 pm

Hey everybody!

This thread is simple! Rather than having a million little threads about everything that goes on at Silverwood, this thread is designed to consolidate it all into one user-friendly thread. Feel free to use it to post updates, trip reports, questions, comments, and of course, general discussion. For pictures and videos of the park as well as past updates, see TPR's Park Index Page.

Below are some links to past updates from the park, you may be interested in. Enjoy!

Ok, I just found out Silverwood is getting a Larson Drop tower. :D I think a Larson drop tower slowly pulls you up but when it reaches to top, it does not wait. It quickly drops you! This should be a nice addition to this great park!

Actually it's an A.R.M. drop tower, Larson is mearly the fabricator and it's not one of the best rides around.

Ok, so it may not be the best drop tower, but it's been a while since they have added a new thrill ride!

Does Jeff Johnson count this donkey as a credit?

god..castles and coasters has an ARM/Larson drop tower..its interesting lol. The drop is just so unexpected lol. Ours is only 120ft though, so this should be a lil more intense. Mind you are's got stuck midway up the tower and had to be evacuated, but still, yay for silverwood!

Larson Tower

I love Silverwood, but I think it's pretty lame that they neglect the theme park side since 1999(tremors) and we wait 7 years for a measly drop tower.

I think it might be..... The ARM Supershot tower I rode at IAAPA in 03 is still by far the best drop tower I have been on (not counting TOT because thats 'different') So to me the ARM tower IS the best tower you can get.. And it has a hell of a lot more airtime then any S&S turbodrop would...

2 + 2 = donkey!

I love the ARM Tower at Castles n' Coasters. Lightning fast drop the second you hit the apex, and the brakes hit at the very last second. It's very unnerving and fun. In fact, I'll take it over Power Tower.

Our new Larson drop tower here at Western Playland is really awesome. The brakes get you at the last second. It was new for 2005.

I went to Silverwood Last month. They had a spot cleared out for it with a fence and a que area. The area was covered in broken water balloons. O.o

I have the record for the most Acrophobia rides on one day at SFoG. 78 was too much. My crotch hurt so bad!
