Flamingo Land Discussion Thread

Recommended Posts

Hey everybody!

This thread is simple! Rather than having a million little threads about everything that goes on at Flamingo land, this thread is designed to consolidate it all into one user-friendly thread. Feel free to use it to post updates, trip reports, questions, comments, and of course, general discussion. For pictures and videos of the park as well as past updates, see TPR's Park Index Page.

I searched and nothing came up here.

So does anybody know anything about the new ride? I mean, its a Vekoma so it has to be good, right?

Looks fantastic (will look even better when the theming's completed). Hopefully I'll make the 4 hour trek up to Flamingoland later in the year. The park has already come along in leaps and bounds since my first visit in 2004. It's turning into a 'true' theme park and is no longer a glorified fun fair.

Yeah, all the little themed details really make it look impressive. Love the rock covered footers and the support paint scheme, very nice, thanks for the link!

How's the zero-G roll compare to a B&M? Love the whipping snap roll action of early B&M's, their new forceless design like on SB where it just forcelessly rolls through the inversion without any laterals was the biggest disappointment of SB for me.

Wow! Though its not finished yet, the theming on Kumali looks like its going to be really good. Could it be that I'm actually looking forward to riding a Super SLC?! It IS, hard to believe huh!? I'm looking forward to June, though I gotta wonder if the yellow in the supports will attract those mustard bugs.
