Thanks for sharing those awesome photos with us! It is always neat to see a park in its earlier years, especially one that has grown so much since those photos were taken!

Wow, thanks for sharing. It's amazing just how much has changed in only the last few years but to see how it looked 20 years ago is really neat.
I had a great visit back in June and can't wait to see what the future holds!

Screamscape is reporting that Marriott will be building a hotel in front of the Ocean Park. The park is not just going to let Disney steam roll them.

Great seeing these early photos, and knowing what OP looks like now,
having been there over a year ago with TPR. The coaster looks
very nice, sticking out of the trees, and the water behind it. Very cool.
Thanks for sharing them!
- Still a great view of the coaster and beyond the site it's on. Mmmmm. (sept.2012)

Thanks for sharing the old Ocean Park pictures. It's always interesting to look back after a park has undergone so many changes.

Does anyone know who the manufacturer of Ocean Park's log flume is? I remember it being slightly different than the Arrow ones I've ridden.

I have a 4.5h layover in Hong Kong on Sunday April 26, arriving around noon. Ocean Park is open. I hear the city has a pretty kick-butt public transport system. Ignoring flight delay possibilities, Is it remotely possible to get there, ride Hair Raiser, and get back for my flight? Do any locals have an idea of potential crowdedness? I'm figuring "no" and "not really"/"very", respectively, but I gotta ask. Hair Raiser is strangely high up on my bucket list. Like.... wayyyy up there. I may consider trying even if there's a good chance I don't get one ride in. Would love to just see the park.

^I'm sorry but that's just not enough time. Even with the good public transport it's probably at least an hour from the airport to the park. Add in the time from your plane to the train, from the drop off area to the ride, riding, getting back, it's more than a bit crazy.
If you wanted to do something crazy HK Disney is MUCH closer to the airport and you could probably run in there for 30 minutes!

I figured. And great idea, thanks, will definitely look into that alternate possibility!
