Here's the entire list of places this exact ride appeared. I'll have construction photos of Pirate's Hideaway within the hour, btw.

Fun Forest Amusement Park as Broadway Trip (Built in 1962)
Cedar Point as Broadway Trip
Palisades Amusement Park as Broadway Trip
Palisades Amusement Park as Love Bugs
Canadian National Exhibition as Love Bugs
Casino Pier as Wizard's Cavern (Demolished 2003)

This info is from RCDB.com

Here are the construction photos. I'm sorry but there are only two, I only had a couple shots left on the camera.

Here is the show building with about half the track installed. As you can see, the coaster will have a few bunny hops on the top level just like Wizard's Cavern.

Just out of view is the "big drop" which is on the right side. It was only about half done

The brand new "pirate ships" have just recently arrived and will serve as the coaster's individual cars.

This should be a neat little ride.

I saw this last night, sadly I didn't bring my camera.

I loved Wizard's Cavern and this will be awesome.

Actually, before there was the Fun Forest - in 1962 the Broadway Trip made it's debut at the Seattle World's Fair.

And it was called The GAYWAY

The "Fun Forest" actually 'debuted' the following year.

Just a little piece of triv.

And it's OLDER than I even thought? Wow, this thing definately lived out it's lifetime for a portable-ish ride.

I just noticed Casino Pier has updated their site to incluide the ride, saying it's based on a CP classic. What a beautiful thing to see new life given to this concept.

*Rider117, seeing how you live right next door to the thing... have you seen the coaster recently, any updates?

Sorry to bump up an old thread, but Pirate's Hideaway is open and has been for a little while. Little has been said about this dark ride/coaster hybrid but it looks pretty sharp!

I hope to go out there after my Cedar Point trip to review and video the ride.

It hasn't opened yet as of this past weekend. I'll be in Seaside tonight and if it's open expect some pictures!

Ohh man, I thought it had opened already, someone must be fibbing me. Please let us know if they got it going! I'm curious to know if this coaster has any dark ride "gags" inside the building.
