trustkill22
Well I have recently just got into Paintball. I just bought a Pirahna R6 which is good enough for me just starting. I am starting to go regularly Paintballing now, now that I also have a membership and all. I was wondering if anyone else in the forum is into paintballing and what type of equipment, gun etc. Whats your thoughts paintball and stuff? Whats your favourite types of games? ex- Elimination, Timed, Segway(Seven second getaway) Capture the flag etc? And also mention some good experiences if you have been. BiCoastal Kid
Ive only played with my dad and uncle a couple times, and I guess it was fun then. We played on this huge wooded property. I guess we played elimination. One team would go in, and the other team would wait 10 minutes and go hunt them down. Which ever team had the last man standing won. Running in creeks is fun. Getting shot RIGHT ON YOUR KNUCKLE is not.
BelizeIt
Come on trustkill lets be honest....... you didn't just buy your first Paintball Gun, infact you've had one for years! I know, because I've seen your Paintball Videos posted on the internet. You know the ones I'm talking about, where you and your friends pack into a car and drive down a street randomly plucking the pedestrians! Your conscience and sleepless nights will get some relief if you stop denying your crimes. Confess! Confess! Confess!
Vigilante
I was into paintball, then, I got into Military Simulation, or MILSIM. I have a piranha or something like that.
trustkill22
I confess BelizeIt that is me. hahahahaha. Just Kidding. I've been hit everywhere except the crotch area and I am thankful that I havent been hit there yet and nor does anyone want to be hit there unless you have weird fetishs and stuff. But I find the place that hurts the most is in the armpit area. I just googled MILSIM and i've seen people with those guns and they are psycho good. Angry_Gumball
I used to paintball very frequently...but because of time, I haven't gotten to play as much as I wanted. I last played in February this year (See Photo TR here). I currently have a Spyder E-99 and a JT Excellerator 3.0 as a backup incase one fails. My Spyder works great though it's mostly stock. (Currently has a VL barrel found at Wal Mart...great barrel I must say).
J man
I went paintballing once. It wasn't really too fun because it was like 105 degrees out. I didn't really have the proper paintball attire on. I was just wearing shorts and a T-shirt. Everyone kept hitting me on either my arms or my legs. And somehow I'd start bleeding from where ever the paintballs hit me. It sucked. Vigilante
Well, if you want to talk more about airsoft, talk to me on aim. I can't get pictures of today's game, but my camera should be rearing to go for tomorrow's game. My aim is Utsujin It is a great sport, and todays game is a beginners game, its fun to shoot at n00bies.
TheStig
I play paintball, and I have a 98 custom just like every n00b thats ever played! But unlike them, Ive put some decent upgrades into it. I have a Flatline barrel, two finger trigger, drop forward, Evo II loader, expansion chamber, and to set it apart from the rest, its silver! But yeah its a great sport, Im looking at getting a E-Bolt soon, but a close to $300 dollars, it might be a while. Colin C
DarkStitch626
Yay finally this is a good topic. I own The following. Tippmann 98 Custom , With Dye boomstick $120 barrel, a Empire B reloader hopper, with an Auto responce trigger. The new centenial year tippmann's have an anti chop bolt and eye which mine doesn't. I also have a couple other things such as Flak jacket for extreme mud play etc becuase I fall and land hard. I own 3 guns but thats my major. I am saving up for the 2007-DM7 or Proto Matrix 7. Colin, if I may. Let me run down the pro's and cons of what you have done to your gun although it does sound great. As you say. I have a Flatline barrel, two finger trigger, drop forward, Evo II loader, expansion chamber, and to set it apart from the rest, its silver! Flatlight Barrel- I have talked to many players about this. I have also witnessed it used on the A-5 and I am less than impressed with it. It throws the ball in a curve half the time.Although it does increase accuracy for some people its not for all. Its a scenario gun you have. Two finger trigger- Easy for gripping but with the 2 finger trigger you might not be able to get an Auto responce. It also takes longer to pull and reset than a single trigger. Its good for scenario games but not speed ball. Drop foward- Gives good balance but lowers the gun'sability to sit lower to the ground. Its good for if your a sniper but not a run along player. Evo-2 loader- Very good choice for its price. In the future try to save up for a Halo 2 B loader or the Empire Reloader B. I have tried this spoken hopper and it gives me a better flow of ball than the Evo did when I tried that. Silver color- Depending on where you play in the woods silver is very easy to spot, cover it with camo like a leaf net or something it will make it better and less easy to spot. Its flashy and catches on but I own a black one and my friend has silver and he is easy as heck to spot!. Expansion chamber is a great addition I can't say much for this becuase friends of mine have that. It does make the gun a lil' more bulky though. I really think the E-bolt idea is a great idea. Get that ASAP becuase I've heard on the fields MANY great reviews about it.
trustkill22
If I start going alot more which im thinking I am I will probaly sell the gun I got now and buy a Spyder but not sure what kind unless you guys have any other good options. And my friend who is selling his (I think) Truesight Electric hopper I might buy it off him for $10. I also like airsoft but it sucks up here in Canada because the only airsoft guns you can get are Crosman but they have to be clear and up here they only have pistols and smgs that are just plain garbage. TheStig
^^Okay well let my tell you a few things about why I bought all that stuff for my guy! Well the flatline is AMAZINGLY accurate, and I love it. Ive never had it throw a curve on me when holding it upright, and the fact that it curves if you hold it sideways actuially comes in handy if your trying to shoot around a bunker. I bought the two finger trigger because I wanted to be able to rip off a few more balls per second without having to buy a response trigger or E-Bolt, I estimate I can throw out about 5-7 balls per second with it. And its actually the same to reset as a single finger trigger if you are using a response trigger, the only difference is that the trigger is longer (well DUHH!) and there are no internal changes. The Evo II loader is a funny story actuially. I went up to the "club house" and bought 500 balls of paint and the guy asked me "what kind of loader do you have?" and I said "just the standard gravity feed one" and he handed me the Evo II FOR FREE! It needed batteries, but thats it! Although it weighs close to two pounds when filled, its a good loader, just heavy. The drop forward was a MUST for my gun. I measured my gun as close to 45 inches without it and with the flatline, and thats wayyyy to long. I use a 20oz tank too, so its a tad longer. Now its about 40 inches long and the weight is balanced perfectly on the trigger, where it should be. The Expansion Chamber. This is one of the things I bought that make a un noticable difference with the 98 custom. Sence the 98 doesnt have a cyclone feed, it doesnt REALLY need it because the A-5 runs out of air twice as quick as most guns because the cyclone feed runs off the CO2. The expansion chamber replaces the bottom part of the front handle, so its not that cumbersome, but I can typically play two days with of games (about 5 games a day) on a single 20oz tank, which is pretty damn good, but I could play about 7 games without it. And finially the silver. What most people get confused about with the silver is that it more like a flat grey then an actuialy silver. It doesnt reflect at all, and its not very noticible in woods ball like you say it is. In fact, I think that guns that are white/red/blue/green like most Kingman and Paranah guns are more noticible in the woods because they are shiny and reflect sunlight, mine doesnt. So yeah thats why I did those things to my gun, Im thinking about selling it and getting a Smart Parts Ion, if you have one your looking at getting rid of, lets trade hahah! No, but I want an Ion now that Im a little more advanced in the sport, I just figure I can get an Ion with a tank and an upgraded trigger for about the same price as I put into my 98, but I know I wont get the same amount back as I put into it. But for now, Ill just keep chugging along with my 98! ^GET THE ION! Its such a good gun for the price, 199.95 for en electronic gun is fantastic. Of course you'll have to buy a N2O tank for it which is anywhere from 80-300 dollars, plus electronic hopper and later down the road you'll want trigger and barrel upgrades, but still its a great gun and like I said, its going to be my next gun eventuially. DarkStitch626
Yes get the ION for the sake of man kind, best gun I have ever had the privolage of actually holding! besides the DM6 and Proto Matrix 6. Angel's despite thier look aren't that great and the Shocker's like the Impulse and Nerve are just metal versions of the ION. The composite body is changable to be customized! Its less money and its not entry level play wise. The dealer will explain everything.
Vigilante
If you try airsoft canada... You have to pretty much order it online. We have a serious dealer not too far from me that carries nice stuff. If you want stuff that is close... This is American but works. poweredgeusa-Based in Hawaii, but reliable. Airsoft GI, based in CA. Trinity airsoft, based in Virginia. Seriously, I could go on, but I am sure no one wants to talk about it, if you want to talk.... AIM me... Alot more stealth tactics and teamwork involved. Paintball is pretty much run and gun.... I played it for 4 years, so don't say I dont know what I'm talking aobut. Imagine this, walking through a swamp, in a stagger formation, 15 feet apart, walking along slowly, when someone with an m60 opens fire on your team. Your team drops to the ground. You tell the specialist to come up there. I got close.... Took the grenade, primed it, threw. BOOM. Bye bye machine gunner. It is basically like living out the movies. trustkill22
See im very much into that but the problem is that there is no one or where that people play but I would love too. I might check out those places that you have listed for airsoft guns and supplies but, I have called a couple places in the States and they always tell me that they can send out the package to Canada but not guarantee it getting across customs so. And I get charged for shipping so im not going to take the risk.
socalMAN123
^ Seriously, if you are thinking about buying a gun, get the Ion. It is defenitly worth the $300. I am a pretty avid fan of paintball, but my brother is super addict. He is on a team and is going to play in his first tournament in July. If you are into scenario, you should start playing speedball. It is a lot more fun and the action is really close up. As for my gear, I just have some basic stuff. -Icon Z -Extreme Rage Gravity Feed -C02 tank -VForce mask If anyone wants to go paintballing with me sometime, just drop me a PM and we can meet up at SC Village. ---Brent
TheStig
This website is a good place to buy paintball guns online and all the acessories. And this is the Ion. Like I said, I strongly suggest buying one, they are SO worth it. Colin C
trustkill22
Thanks for showing me that site Colin. I really dug it and it had some pretty good prices. Thanks man. *I wish TPR had a point system because I would give you 15 points*

trustkill22
Ya I dont get it. They say since they look like actual firearms and since they are replicas they dont want people to use have them. Ya the only ones you can buy here are Crosmans that are clear and only shoot like 300 fps and below. I do have a pistol but I just have it for fun like shoot my friends and my brother if they are acting like idiots
trustkill22
Alright since im working im starting to think about getting a new gun and not not up for the ION because I have to save for my D-town Tigers/NASCAR/Cedar Point/Waldameer Park/Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Trip so i'm thinking of getting a Kingman Spyder Imagine. I would like my gun to stay below the $300 mark and also I dont HPA because I already have a CO2 tank and aint willing to spend that much for HPA so if anyone has any recommendations....SPEAK UP! phazan
Yeah, I'm bringing this back up, I found it in search. I just got into paintballing, and my first paintball gun came a few days ago! I got a Spyder Pilot ACS 05'. It's really cool, I haven't got to shoot out of it yet, or play my first game with it. But yeah, when I started paintballing, I absolutely LOVED it. It's the perfect sport for me, although it's soooo expensive. I ordered my gun through that xpaintball.com place. I wasn't really too happy for them. First off, it didn't say on the website that my gun was on backorder. It took them 4 weeks to actually ship it out to me. they said they would ship it to me as soon as they got them in. When I got my gun, I found out that it had already been opened. It looks as though it had opened a few times. If they shipped it as soon as they got it, how could it have been opened? I'm guessing they had it sitting on the shelf in their store and let people try it out...also my Co2 tank had a little piece missing out of the cap. It looked as though it had been dropped in the store or something. They kind of made me mad...but, I got all my stuff for an awesome price and answered my emails, so I'm not too mad. As for what I ordered, this is what I have... -Spyder Pilot -20 Oz Co2 tank -Axiom Fx10 thermal goggles w/2 FREE extra lenses (This was an awesome deal) -$3 gravity fed hopper and then there are all the rest of the small stuff I got like o-rings, barrel cleaner swab, elbow...stuf like that. But I can't wait to get out and play! here it is, sitting on the couch...that is a sweet looking gun I must say!
trustkill22
Wicked Stuff there phazen. I just got an HPA tank for my Spyder Electra and I recommend you get a electric hopper. I have an egg that works great because I cant out shoot the thing. I am now researching on a new gun to buy though. Maybe a Diablo Wrath or a Smart Parts ION. I love now my brother got a job at a paintball place in Toronto so hes getting a bunch of stuff so im probaly going to buy his Vents goggles off of him. Good luck with your first game with your new gun. And gog someone for me.
phazan
Yeah, I was going to do my first few games with a cheap hopper. Later when I save up enough, I plan to get the egg. I don't really think I will even shoot fast enough for me to need a fast hopper at first though.
