thomas2
Yeah well I haven't really rode a terrain coaster but based on the video, I think that the Voyage is a pretty darn good terrain.

CD
All of the coasters at BGE or SFFT (excluding poltergiest) are great terrian coaters.
FeelTheFORCE
Phantoms Revenge is a pretty good terrain coaster and my favorite.
goleafsgo
nemesis isnt really a terrain coaster, its just a coaster in a hole...
Homer
^Which is technically the definition of a terrain coaster .
Reon
I'm thinking the 3 big coasters at Mt. Olympus can be qualified... *Zues: follows the natural hillside, and is shrouded in trees. *Cyclops: Even though it's off the ground alot, it follows the terrain nicely. Also, the finale include a ditch-dive. *Hades: The pre-lift sequence, and that figure 8 finale both follow the terrain. Also, account for the twin tunnels... If none of those count, Im going with Rattler and Beast. Otherwise, all three Mt. Olympus woodies =D

taytig
Steel - Dragon Mountain Wood - Cyclops Inverted - Nemesis Not really a terrain coaster, but I love Vortex at PCW - up the mountain then along the water - it never slows up!!
eddie200330
IMHO terrain refers to something that follows the land without much support structure. Other than lift(which I think dragon Mountain actually goes right up the hill without ever leaving the ground) there should not be any need for supports. Most of the rides listed here actually have support structure over 50 feet off the ground?? I don't know, just an observation.....
coasterboy76
I would have to say The Beast, by the "official" definition of a terrain coaster, but I think any coaster that is built amongst the trees, to a point that it is not visible from the rest of the park and/or the rest of the coaster should count as a terrain coaster. DanTheBooker
What's your favorite terrain coaster? Do you prefer wood or steel terrain coasters? Which park doesn't have one but you wish it did? Which park has one that doesn't really do much for you? What's the best example of a terrain coaster you can think of? Talk amongst yourselves.... Zingao
I would probably say my favorite is "Lisebergsbanan" at Liseberg, Sweden. Really good use of the environment and with a really smooth and exciting ride. A swarchkopf made of steel.
firewalk13
I haven't been on nearly enough, but Ravine Flyer II then The Beast for me.

gerstlaueringvar
Outlaw Run and Powder Keg. Both are amazing terrain coasters.
ernierocker
^Okay, yes how could I forget those two! I change mine to Outlaw Run, Boulder Dash and Powder Keg.
DanTheBooker
I personally wouldn't consider Powder Keg a terrain coaster... Thunderation, yes. Outlaw Run, yes. Not Powder Keg, though.

mdwarn01
I'd have to say the Beast, only because I've never ridden Nemesis
djboss302
Does Legend count? If it doesn't, than I guess Cyclops wins by default (definitely subject to change).
gerstlaueringvar
Powder Keg definitely counts! The second hill is actually more like a double up, the turns before the old premier track section are all on a pretty steel slope.
azza29
Wood - Boulder Dash - might be a bit rough these days but still a great ride Steel - Alpengeist - one of the less intense B&Ms, but I love how this inverted coaster uses hills and valleys to make the overall ride more thrilling. Some steel "terrain" coasters might not follow the ground quite as closely as woodies, but I think Phantom's Revenge, Tatsu, Loch Ness Monster and The Bat all use the landscape in an interesting way.
