Hello everyone! I must say that todays trip to SFGAm was unlucky. I'll explain more as pictures come by. Make sure you look at all SEVEN posts of pictures... otherwise we'll be sad. I'm also proud to announce that I conquered my fear of bigger roller coasters and now have 3 B&M's under my belt!

So.... *drumroll, please!* HERE IT IS!

62.jpg.106356f2ed300ec47a0db9cb6edd48c5.jpg

Thanks for reading through the whole trip report! We hope you enjoyed it. By the way - we didn't go on American eagle because we decided it wasn't that fun. (We've been on it before) Anyways... thanks again!

60.jpg.c88ac27e8e0325bee6231861b7e94532.jpg

Check us out! We're CrAzY teenage ACErs! Give us some candy!

58.jpg.cf5cd66f3877c0061e4f0d2fdb1364ee.jpg

I did it! I did it! 3 B&M's under my belt - beat that! WHAT?!?? Uh huh!

How Andrew ranked his first B&M's:

1. Superman: Ultimate Flight

2. Raging Bull

3. Batman The ride

57.jpg.977b161f17b33795315def966c579433.jpg

Woah! Is that Dan in the fourth seat? Nah... just a clone.

56.jpg.7215067f94d331c9fa40314119b51f72.jpg

Now these people were COOL! I mean C-O-O-L! They even smiled for us!

55.jpg.628dfdaaa1d04b9e2be48a5abe3d3c60.jpg

This picture gives you a pretty good idea of Superman: Ultimate Flight's layout.

54.jpg.63144a2c3d4a292e042afad48cfe1714.jpg

By far the BEST picture Andrew has ever taken... the lighting was perfect.

53.jpg.7bb9c641d7adbd44774285719524c36d.jpg

Ahhh!

52.jpg.af737b352c95866195e35a563aa400f1.jpg

Ooh!

51.jpg.c73df1786696b99467b89bf0da310c40.jpg

So we went back to Superman! And boy are we glad we came back later. The sun finally came out at about 3:00 and we snapped some really great photos...

50.jpg.1ee8feeeb5c4682c73ba129ac16a88d1.jpg

Then it was time for RAGING BULL! Andrew finally rode it. He hated the first drop because it seemed like it just kept coming, but he LOVED the rest of the ride. "Yeah... it's up there on my favorites," said Andrew.

49.jpg.8ee618b9bcbcd03b167519651ba0bfd2.jpg

We did it... and we didn't like it. The hill, loops, and tunnel? Smooth! The corkscrews... well. Ow.

48.jpg.5b203c66f32ebf399a0de99a30953ff1.jpg

Demon... THROUGH THE BUSHES!

47.jpg.65cf22bce9425c835fe76fcc5e8b7c62.jpg

Time for... PAIN! *arg* I mean... Demon.

46.jpg.99501eea2439badf01adc2bd8804d03e.jpg

See those blue plates with lights? Those cover the bottom of the spinning disk.

45.jpg.480f980a0b4f6f5b717a876a7194a3bc.jpg

Andrew is sad.

44.jpg.1a13bfd1d89a2f4d0e34cc3d1d58b8be.jpg

Here's a picture of Revolution. It looks like they had to do some major repairs underneath the platform.

43.jpg.7dbfb4f8fbd57dc485ac09fc3f9ae089.jpg

Here's Andrew imitating what the G's made him look like on Batman.

42.jpg.e14bf126a601b9aeeaacd73b0f3940e4.jpg

Another picture of the first loop on Batman. What? No, that's not my finger in the corner. The tree just... exploded.

41.jpg.737c19980e1666066524ad09c40b2fbe.jpg

Batman... THROUGH THE BATHROOM!

40.jpg.a260cbc9e39a4bee5bf2342cb0fc01cf.jpg

Andrew - "WHOOOOO! I DID IT!"

Kathryn - "INTO THE BATCAVE!"

39.jpg.b6e39fc63f3c062d3da9fe050a2ba9ec.jpg

Can you guess what this is? The camera went off in Paul's pocket while riding Batman.

38.jpg.0d8510c1698ed77c9dca571e9b5fbec5.jpg

This is Andrew's fake smile. On the outside he's all, "I'm SO excited!" On the inside, he's all, "Oh... GOD!"

37.jpg.b7e2158eba47e3ce1ac86f0f64b1fa4f.jpg

Onto Batman The Ride. Andrew was psyched to find Bolliger & Mabillard on a sign!

36.jpg.ad4771ac578c40a879429b5f51004abe.jpg

WRONG! About 20 feet from the station, the dumb train stops at the bottom of the lift hill. The same thing happened at BGA with Montu, so we decided to wait about 10 minutes. However, they didn't fix it in time, so we decided to leave and come back later.

35.jpg.1c70cdb47a3919e0a2d975b1dde0cca1.jpg

Everything's going well, right?

34.jpg.486d68f648eae9a258db789d44d6fb89.jpg

So we headed over to Superman: Ultimate Flight - Andrew decided to conquer his fears of bigger roller coasters!

33.jpg.6e297704713addd4c6f1466e96516cc5.jpg

We headed over to Revolution only to find that Andrew's most favorite flat ride was... CLOSED! Some more pictures of what's going on with it later...

32.jpg.278bb47dffe4c194dd1e4058a2934d5d.jpg

KATHRYN! STOP TRYING TO EAT DEJA VU! OMG!

31.jpg.4bc5d901bf4c87da296a1229d9839ad2.jpg

The park got a little bit more crowded as the day went on. However, the wait time for rides really didn't go beyond 30 minutes.

30.jpg.19d2da3941ea8ed51e289a1f8e64452a.jpg

To warm up, we got our coffee fix...

29.jpg.507b89e53bf1459fb7b485bf738a3f02.jpg

For most of the day, the train was stuck on the second spike of the ride. Ragin Cajun was also closed.

28.jpg.62d6d497a58a2298888d31f40e4fc09a.jpg

Deja Vu - CLOSED!

27.jpg.b24b9debb2bf6543403fc0430ded1499.jpg

Andrew snapped a great photo... yeah - that lady just walked by right when he took the picture.

26.jpg.4e0cb8a0f4696722129fe6872b5103b5.jpg

A blurry picture of the tunnel in Demon. Andrew liked going through it very much!

25.jpg.1a4df8cce15948b463c92ff69bcac2fa.jpg

So, we decided to go see a Marvin the Martian movie at the Pictorium and grab a bite to eat! (You can see how wet we got!)

24.jpg.1d2324cdc92df53315ff52eacde94197.jpg

So here's how our ride on Viper went. It was raining pretty hard when we got on. The ride was CRAZY fast! Anyways, when we got to the end, the other train had to unload because the track got too wet. So there we are - stuck on a roller coaster train in th

Viper is a mirror of the Coney Island Cyclone.

22.jpg.15a54b5d3196640672d5baf2db0eedc9.jpg

Ooh! Aah!

21.jpg.efefef7dff8a13170d9a930340cff81a.jpg

A picture of the station's theming for those who have never been on Viper.

20.jpg.3f810bbad5bd1cef1a27dfa30e0fb109.jpg

You can get a good shot of Raging Bull from the line of Viper.

19.jpg.0daf90d1e42ff6a16b08812bfd1e8803.jpg

But first... Viper - THROUGH THE TREES!

18.jpg.1929fde8df6659ff1fe3aefeed1a1237.jpg

Next on to Andrew's favorite ride in the park (well... it used to be his favorite) find out why...

17.jpg.74b9817b198ae0325371a0032c166a03.jpg

We LOVE Schwarzkopf coasters! Whizzer was very nice and smooth this time.

16.jpg.01f2d602971c6c4003f43ba854ed499b.jpg

This is Kathryn imitating how it was when you came out of the helix on Whizzer.

15.jpg.a0bf063d0df9cad7acb165d351dc8942.jpg

I don't know if you can see this, but on the whiteboard in the control room, it said "It's Whizzer Time!" ...Kathryn and Andrew found that to be hilarious! (Don't ask why)

14.jpg.0005c2bfc05e4f52a82ed24ae4f1f9b5.jpg

Kathryn was all "WATER FEATURE!" We got 2 rides on Whizzer - one before it started raining, and one after. It was a LOT of fun the second time because the track was so greased up from the rain.

13.jpg.a3e5787ef50929f5b39e5f735e6d593e.jpg

Another lift hill photo. In case you didn't know, the trains have individual motors that carry themselves up the lift. No chains here!

12.jpg.7680a8912f4d9ba8d72c7d2aec359751.jpg

This is the part where you go up in a circle... yeah.

11.jpg.7b041d2eeb1a773e3f7de5177a4bcb54.jpg

First credit of the day: Whizzer! Schwarzkopf goodness.

10.jpg.7379036d201da2e60fd668aa5715ad7f.jpg

"Now we can go to lots of theme parks for FREE!"

9.jpg.91e5dae1e209acdddcc23db9b9cc854f.jpg

It was pretty empty when we got there. So we headed over to get our season passes processed.

8.jpg.ce8c65f3e33b1750969c7f0427d33bd2.jpg

And in the blink of an eye... ROLLA COASTUHS!

7.jpg.a085d757f401328b471d90ae336b8846.jpg

OMG! Six Flags is that'a way!

6.jpg.87f1a8719675a649cde80a4502e19ea1.jpg

LOL! A&W is hiring Wisconsin Cheese Curds... I guess I could never work there.

5.jpg.1bde419b0be31b5815ffc3fd2df85775.jpg

To hold us through the 50-minute drive, we watched SpongeBob.

4.jpg.53e57c53d6e23b9e5d56adf914365eb6.jpg

As you can see, it was raining pretty badly. Don't you just LOVE those weather people?

2.gif.80ddd52ee16ec0acffa3e4de33a083b9.gif

Here's a beautiful picture before we left the homestead (lol). Left to right: Andrew (ME!), Paul (My Dad), Kathryn (My sister)

1.gif.1c18395b76583419a68144ea44f0f343.gif

Everyone got TPR goodie bags (but TPR had NOTHING to do with it... I just put the logo on the nametags!) Kathryn was all, "RAWR! I'M RAGING BULL!"

But wait, isnt Vipers block covered? I swear it was, I mean I rode it two weeks ago and it was. Im glad you liked SFGAm, its my most favorite park. Yeah, Revy has been down for about 3 weeks now, they were just starting to work on it when I was there. And by the way, nice 3rd person commentating!

On Viper, the switchoff track is covered. The blocks are inbetween the two buildings. However, I also remember being stopped underneath a roof. So I really don't know what happened yesterday.

Great TR....I love me some GAm. Don't expect Revolution to be running any time soon. It has a pretty serious "injury" that might keep it down for the entire year. They'd be lucky to get it up by the end of summer.

Great pictures! Out of all the times I've been to Great America, Deja Vu has only been open (for the full day) twice.

I think this is only the second time Deja Vu hasn't been open when we went... I bet SFGAm regrets ever getting it.

Not bad for a first photo TR!

Some of the pictures were really good, the Superman one in particular.

And it's good to see people conquering new challenges!

How many coasters have you guys [since I'm unsure as to who actually posted the report] been on?

Posted

If you're asking how many we rode yesterday, then 5 (roller coasters)

However, we've been on everything at SFGAm except V2 and Deja Vu.

Actually, the first brake is the safety and the second (non covered one) is the transfer, so you got stuck on the transfer...

glad to see you had a good time...so no carousel?

Thanks!

I'll probably have a few more SFGAm photo updates later this year, so keep an eye out!

so no carousel?

We usually always go on the carousel... I don't know why we didn't this time. I was going to say something when we were leaving, but we were all starving (we left the park at dinner time because we got everything done that we wanted to do) even on superman, I was STARVING.

Just wanted to also throw in a "Great TR, Especially for a 13 year old!"

Just don't forget to rotate your photos next time!

Great photos!

Six Flags Great America is one of those parks that I've always wanted to visit, even though they took out my namesake!
