eskater132
Did you hear the story about V2, well, it used to go straight up instead of out like that, it was something about height restrictions, the city go mad
PhishyBrewer
V2 had two vertical spikes before they had to change it due to a hieght restricion from the city (I think). So the shortend them both and changed the vertical twisted spike to a 45 degree angle spin. Yeah... that sounds about right
phazan
I have a question though, why can't they make it go all the way to the top? They have brakes on the back spike, why can't they use them? Stupid six Flags!
ECZenith
Have you been on any other impulse coasters by any chance. I'm curious to see if you prefer to have one spike tilted or both straight like the only ones I've been on, Wicked Twister and Steel Venom. Rollerholden
I've been on V2 before and after the change, and it's quite different. Now, te first couple of rows don't go all the way verticle on the back spike (it's very close, but they don't make it). Also, on the first and last times it goes forward, it stops in the twist and you hang upside down. When it does go all the way through the twist, it's still very far from the end. I think it's a fun ride this way, definately top 2 at the park.
V2-dude
A pic from ROAR's derailment, from XtremeCoastin: You can see the fifth and sixth cars sticking up and leaning to the left.
Rollerholden
^ So it didn't derail with people?

Rollerholden
^Or did it get stuck there?

haiderodes
Is it just me or does the station on Medusa really look like a cheap shed?
phazan
^Well, it's the best themed station in the park! Well, actually, Stargate has the best theme in the park! Who ever knew they had jungles and low tech cars in space? I sure didn't!
ECZenith
In that lift hill shot of medusa, what is that building to the left of the lift? It actually looks like it could be a hint of theming??
Sean Menefee
This happened LAST YEAR, and the title of the thread doesn’t really explain that very well it looks like. Roar has been running fine all season so enjoy your day at the park Gumball. Edit....well his post was above mine, guess he deleted it.
Angry_Gumball
Yea, I deleted it because I didn't wanna make myself look stupid as I read on the TR on how Roar was running...Anyway, that purple shed thing is the storage section for Medusa.

USCoaster
It really doesn't suprise me that Roar! derailed last fall. I only made it down to Marine World once last year, but both of my rides on Roar! were absolutely brutal. I think they were getting very close to Psyclone levels of roughness. As for the GCI trains vs. the PTC's that Roar! East runs... I think I might like the PTC's slightly better. The GCI trains track too nicely on the curvey track (last year was an exception) while the PTC's have this insane shuffling that make the ride feel out of control. Sure its rougher, but I think it ups the thrills on the ride.
