davisal771
Just bought myself a Canon 20D with a Canon 28-80mm zoom lens and a Promaster 19-35mm wide angle lens with skylight filter, all for $295 I got it used in pretty good shape on eBay, I'm really excited to get it and start shooting

davisal771
^ I know... I was shocked when I came home and found that I had won. By the way, you have some great photos! What aspect ratio are they shot in?
Real
Should be same as yours. My sensor is just sharper and 2mp higher than that 20D. I crop to fit the finished product so sometimes its non-standard.

Real
4th of July - Toledo, Ohio (Those were not Toledo's Fireworks, those were my old hometown of Oregon, a suburb)  Random Maxair shot  Random Dragster panning shot  Yes, we see you up there 300ft in the air, stuck on Windseeker  Finally moving  Thought this was cool   I have 2 ideas that Ive not seen done very much. Not entirely original but I hope to get up there this week to do some test runs. If it turns out like I want it too, it should be pretty freakin cool. davisal771
I've always loved the out of focus "bokeh" photography, and since I always can see a great fireworks show from my house every friday, I decided to try to get some of my own. Real
I really like the first few. Ill have to try that with my macro since the bokeh is so pleasing on it. Not every lens produces good bokeh unfortunately...

BeemerBoy
I've always loved the out of focus "bokeh" photography, and since I always can see a great fireworks show from my house every friday, I decided to try to get some of my own. I'm a fan of bokeh as well, but not when it's the primary subject in the photograph. To me, most of those shots look like the Petri dish of a lab experiment, and not fireworks. davisal771
^^ It's actually funny, after I loaded those pictures onto my computer, I had looked at a few and thought the same thing. I haven't have the opportunity to experiment that much, but I'll take your advice, thanks!

AJClarke0912
That first shot is so amazing! Such an interesting focal point (with the slight tilt and everything), not to mention it's an amusement ride.
Real
That first shot is so amazing! Such an interesting focal point (with the slight tilt and everything), not to mention it's an amusement ride. Â I didnt actually tilt it. Look at the railing. It was just the path of the ride. Which is why I love time lapse so much. Such randomness.
AJClarke0912
^I meant the tilt of the ride's lights. But yeah, it looks really cool.

Real
Yea, I hadnt realized the old drummer retired. She almost could be her daughter, they have similar features and hair style/color. I just kept thinking "She looks WAY younger" Then got on my phone and confirmed that. Definitely a pretty girl but very, VERY talented. Great voice too.
