QueerRudie
HELP!!!!! I'm planning a Coastersweep of the Anaheim/Buena Park area in early July (8-13th right now). This is my first time in riding both parks- I've already done SFMM several times, and wanted to get a lighter fare this time through (Stressed out beyond belief, and decided it's time for a proper Holiday...) Any tips/suggestions on how to get the park tickets cheaper (I'm already Googling this thing to bits) plus how to navigate the parks without the overwhelming urge to strangle people in lines, etc. I fully expect crowds, as it is summer, however perhaps the natives/locals/frequent fliers of this area might have some suggestions as to how I can navigate them easier... THANKS A MILLION SCREAMS!
ECZenith
I just got back from my first visit but had plenty of tips for the parks from others plus ones I've learned... -At Knott's, head right to Xcelerator and plan on riding Silver Bullet later in the day. Knott's usually opens the park with Silver Bulle trunnin gone train and since SB is right at the entrance, the line gets quite long early in the morning on a weekday in the spring... -Perilous Plunge only ran one boat when I was there and had a bit of a wait in the queue, so I suggest you hit that after Xcelerator. -At Disneyland, head left to Adventureland for an Indiana Jones fastpass and then go right to Space Mountain in Tomorrowland, or vise versa... -Splash Mountain also gets busy, especially if it's hot (it's the only thrill/water ride at the park) I suggest fastpassing it and then riding Pooh,Thunder and Haunted Mansion to pass the time. -At Cali Adventure... hit the sunwheel first if you want to ride the swinging cars. Screamin', Grizzly River Run, and Soarin' all have single rider lines and Tower Of Terror has six loading bays to keep lines short. Hope this helps, have fun and take photos! Pelydr
Knotts has a Burger King promotion. I got a voucher there that was good for something like $10-$15 off normal price so stop by a BK in California if you have time. Knotts operations sucs, really. When I went two weeks ago the only major ride open at opening was Silver Bullet with one train so the line sucked (45minutes). Ghostrider was down for rehab so maybe things will be better as the summer season comes on. Then at 11 they actually opened the line to Xcelerator eventhough they were still testing. So if the boardwalk isnt open when the park opens try to time it to head over there as soon as it does and you should get at least a few rides on the best ride in the park. Best advice I can offer. socalMAN123
If you are a member of AAA, you can get a lot of discounts there. I have heard of AAA's Unlimited Fastpass deal where at DLR you can get unlimited Fastpasses. I don't know if it is still there or not, but if you used it, it would be very helpfull to you. Disneyland GET TO THE PARK AT OPENING!!!! If you get to the park right at opening, the park is dead. Defenitly hit Space Mountain first then make your way over to Splash Mountain and Big Thunder. If you want to see shows, stay until night time and watch Fantasmic! and the fireworks. Both are really good shows and are amazing. A good place to eat lunch has to be Rancho Del Zocalo, semi-expensive and really good. Dinner should probably be at Red Rockett's Pizza Port. Disney's California Adventure Just like at Disneyland, GET THERE WHEN THE PARK OPENS! You can hit all of the major rides before 12 and then just have the day to relax and reride. Soarin is amazing so don't miss out on it. GRR is great, gets you really wet, defenitly grab a Fastpass for that one because the line can become hell during the day. Aladdin is a pretty good show, kinda relives you of the heat during the day. Knott's Berry Farm Just like the other two parks, GET TO THE PARK WHEN IT OPENS! Hit Ghostrider first, Xcelerator second, Jaguar third, Montezuma's fourth, and then rerides until you want to do Boomerang and Silver Bullet (which has a shorter line as the day goes on). If you stay until night time, defenitly get a Ghostrider ride and an Xcelerator ride in. It's like they are almost completly different rides. ---Brent
