YoshiCraft2011
Right now, gas is quite "cheap" in Las Vegas. It's around $2.50 a gallon, and that can actually save drivers dozens of dollars if you think about it. The last time I posted on this thread, it was around $3.25. Firechaser
In VA it is $2.32 In NC it is $2.43 Gotta love living 5 minutes from the State line.

805Andrew
$2.87 last time I filled up several days ago. This is super cheap for California.
rcdude
$2.93 in Orange County, California as of last week. I think this is the first time I've seen gas under $3 a gallon around here in at least 5 years.
Nrthwnd
About a $1.10 a litre up where we are. Â Which is actually happily shocking, considering we have gone as high as (recently) OVER $1.50 a litre! Â Still, I remember everybody screaming when a litre used to cost... 50 cents! mightypotato
Gas was down to 98.6 cents/litre this morning. Which is amazing considering we were upwards of $1.30/litre just a couple months ago. Â On the same token, the collapse in oil prices has hit the Canadian economy pretty hard. thrillerman1
We just hit $1.99 a gallon in Nashville. Never thought I'd see it this low. I remember 10 years ago on a road trip to Great America in Chicago seeing gas at $2.11 and thought that was so high. How much lower will it go, or have we hit bottom? GwaziBSRider1
Went down to $2.63 here yesterday. I don't know why I even look at this thread sometimes. It just makes me jealous of all of these much cheaper prices than mine.
BigDipper 80
I filled up for $2.35 in Cleveland a week ago, although it's $2.29 and lower some places. Supposedly it had dropped below $2 in some places around here.
YOLO
On the Mississippi Gulf Coast, it usually is around $3.30, but I was shocked to see a couple days ago in Biloxi it was $2.32.
jazzimm
I live in Central Ontario (yes, Canada). Today, during my afternoon commute home I noticed that gas went down to $0.94/litre. Now, that's $CAD and litres, not gallons, so I'm not exactly sure how comparable it is to the US right now. But I was still pumped about it! Over the past month, my daily commute (about 1.5 hr each way) has gone from costing me $25-$27/day, to $16-$19/day. I'm a happy camper.

larrygator
Always good to consider this map when making long road trips. The numbers in each state are the "State Gas Tax", some municipalities also have an additional gas tax. State gas tax isn't the only factor, but it is a major factor. An interesting Map to help explain the variance in gas prices by states Edited February 17, 2015 by larrygator
RAWKIN_coaster38
Yay we have the highest gas tax! And not wonderful public transit coupled with long drives across state....we don't have much of a choice except to pay it! Â Interesting to see though. Â Road trip in Alaska?? Dar
It's the equivalent of about $7.98 a gallon here in the UK!
IdahoKat
Has been as low as $1.54/gal in north Idaho, although is back up to ~ $1.69 now. Still a bargain being under $2!!!!! I doubt I will ever see it at under $1 again, but it's still nice seeing it low, as it costs less for me to give gas money to those who drive me
