coastercrazed49
Wow this coaster is really looking great. The first drop looks awesome, and the coaster looks like a great coaster overall. Does anyone know when they are going to start test runs? From the looks of it, it looks like it will be soon.
Carnage
Jeez! This thing reminds me of Avalanche, Really? It reminds you of Avalanche? Avalanche is a small, simple coaster. Drop, turn, hill, hill, hill, turn, hill, hill, hill, turn, hill, hill, hill, end. RFII is a terrain coaster, with lots of hills, direction changes, etc. Doesn't remind me at all of Avalanche. Unless, the 90 degree turn is reminding you of Avalanche's turns.
ChrisCrowder
The banking on that corner looks insane! And I love the trains, nice plain lap bar seats. I prefer really simple trains from elaborate designs. It makes you focus more on the ride than the way you are sitting. And lap bars always give you that thrill of 'insecurity'. Looks like this is going to be a really good ride.

niiicolaaah
Nice view of Presque Isle from the top of the lift! Makes me want to go swimming!! I used to go swimming all the time there growing up, but we never went to the park. ::EDITED AGAIN FOR SOUTH PUDDLE'S SAKE::: I'm super excited to ride this, which may be partially because it doesn't have 50 billion fanboys drooling all about it. I'M KIDDING! I'M USING SARCASM!! I'M TRYING TO POKE FUN AT THE BEHEMOTH THREAD! I used to live 2 hours between Waldameer and CW and think it's amusing how few enthusiasts paid attention to the area until now! :::EDIT::: I highly recommend stopping by Presque Isle if you are in the are and want to take in some nature or go for a swim! http://www.presqueisle.org/
kennywood!007
This ride looks so great. The drop looks like it's gonna pack a punch. I can't wait to get there this summer.

southpuddle
Seriously, would the fact that there are more people excited to ride it make YOU any less excited to ride it? Leave that to the emos. I'll be making the trip to Waldameer this summer for sure. Just a short trip from Sandusky! DROOOOOOOLLLL DROOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLL

EuroTre
Oh wow does this ride look awesome! Since it's a Gravity Group, its guaranteed to be intense and crazy awesome. However, does anyone know why they changed the cars to conventional trains when I had heard something about articulated trains?
odene497
^They didn't want to take any chances that may delay the opening of the ride (The single bench trains would be prototype), they've already waited such a long time for it. -Nick
Force 310
I'm looking forward to this ride, especially since Waldameer is now the second-closest major park to me and I've never gotten the opportunity to ride a Gravity Group coaster before. From what I've seen of GG's coasters, they all look excellent -- manic pacing, twisted layouts, and prodigious airtime. And the lines will be relatively short (although my definition of "short' has been twisted somewhat by visiting CP in the middle of August). The only small park I've visited and ridden more than one thing at (as of yet) is Casino Pier in New Jersey, which didn't exactly give off the best impression as to small parks (two Milers including a wild mouse which should never have been conceived of, a couple of other coasters, some standard flat rides, an upcharge Skyscraper, and a "questionable" atmosphere). I've heard good things about Waldameer, and it looks like a nice park, even without the addition of a Gravity Group coaster. I'll probably be visiting sometime in late May and a couple other times throughout the summer.

kidcoaster 2
I see now how the train will turn around. I like how they have the tracks go close to the edge before turning around. It will leave room for expansion in that area.
Jason Hammond
However, does anyone know why they changed the cars to conventional trains when I had heard something about articulated trains? They didn't want to take any chances that may delay the opening of the ride (The single bench trains would be prototype), they've already waited such a long time for it. In addition, after metting and talking to Steve Gorman at several off-season events this past winter, he said they'd consider installing them in the future. So, the Standard PTC's may not be permanent.
EastCoastn07
Hey Robb, I know you said that we wouldn't be able to take pictures at all during the video shoot, but will we have any opportunity at all to take pics. I just want to know whether or not I should leave my camera at home. Also, the pics look great...I can't wait till the 20th to get to ride this monster. I'm going to have to plan another trip up there sometime during the summer because I still need to ride Steel Dragon as well.

CLSwitzer
Check out this video of the new Ravine Flyer II in Erie, Pa. The coaster opens this weekend, but a photographer from the Erie Times-News hooked up a camera in the front seat during a test run. http://GoErie.com/video/FlyerRide

raptor6
That view from the top of the lift hill is beautiful! I agree that Ravine Flyer II looks a bit on the slow side, but the coaster should not take that long to break in. I would guess that the back car should give some more intense rides for us thrill-seekers. The thrills don't look on par with Voyage level, but it seems to be a great fit for Waldameer, as everyone in the family can have fun.
