Leaf
I like how there's no brakerun before the roll.
neovortex2k
Wow that looks like the best version of that ride i've seen yet. Â That roll looks like soooo much fun
PKI Jizzman
Wow, looks like a really cool, short but intense ride! I love how it comes around that tight turn straight into the zero-g. Great addition to a small park like that!
sio
The trains arrived. Â Â other pictures: http://www.adventureislandguide.com/rides/construction/rage/jan07x10-1.htm
Shavethewhales
Awesome, I can't believe how easy this thing went up, these are definitely the Swartzkopf's (sp?) of today. Wow, so many parks could use these, does anyone know how much Rage cost?
TPDave
I have no idea how much it cost (I would assume a couple of million GBP) Â That aside, Rage has started test runs, theres a video up on youtube already. I'm amazed how quickly this has all happened. I really hope Adventure island do well out of this, it's a huge investment for a park their size, who are used to making their own rides. Hats off to them for this happening so fast too!

verticalzero
That was fast construction for a Euro  Nice compact layout, could feel dizzy after a couple of laps.  I just hope the local's don't mind the colour scheme, it's quite bright.  I'm looking forward to a layout bigger than "Speed" which has 2 loops, more camelbacks and an exciting downward / upward helix back to back. redfoot12
Looks like a nice little ride. It actually has me a little more excited for what Mystery Mine might turn out like.
IceDragon
i still cant get my head over the last inversion... it works and computes, but it looks strange... Â could be the best investment ever! IceDragon
Wowwww, that thing just flies! I hope one of these particular models shows up around here sometime soon.  i was wishing that before it came! i was prepared to drive from Southend to Wales just to ride one... i'll still do it, but thats not the point the point is, its only gonna cost £25 for a day out there including travel :D
TPDave
Join www.southparks.org - we *might* be getting ERT a couple of weeks after it opens, mind you, the queues at AI never exceed 10 mins unless its a hot summers day, but this is England! Â It's strange to think that this will be the biggest new ride in the UK this season, it should do wonders for the park...
dc006f5086
I got a lift down to Adventure Island today to see if anything was happening on site, not much was going on, two workmen were just working in and around the lift tower and there was one of the cars at the top of the lift which remained like that for the duration of my visit.  Here are some photos:  The car that was up on the lift tower for the duration of my visit...  One of the Rage cars in the Station..  Tower/Layout Shot!  Kicker Wheel on the base of the lift tower...  Sexy yellow track. lol  Chain motor..  Inline...  The support base structures.  Supports connecting to the base.  The tri-track in the sun.  Random shot...  More track...  97 Degrees Straight Down!  Random container shot...  Another drop shot..  I leave you with a shot of Southend Beach...  George! HAJiME
Speed was crap. Â I don't udnerstand, but first ride it was amazing. Second ride it just hurt. third ride and i vowed never again. Â I know it sounds dumb, but it reminded me a lot like Colossus. It has NO re-ride value and is unecisarally rough. First time i rode it, it was incredable. And then wtf happened. Â The first drop was AMAZING, the hill was AMAZING... or, would have been, but the restraint killed my sholders. It was like somone kitting you really hard with one of those tri-rular things on your sholder. Â Then the turn around. Eugh. It seems Eurofighter trains can go up and down fine, but turnign to the side prooves to be impossible. The trains suck. Â I'm hoping the tri track will make Rage a little more sterdy than Speed and hopefully less rough. It just seems a shame it's lacking the airtime hill, which was Speed's redeeming feature. Â Mystery Mine looks painful. The drop that turns... Â Still, Rage is local, i must go whore and then whine about how i hate it.
IceDragon
one quick question: is the ride sectioned off, or can you walk under parts of it? Â Â only a few weeks left!!!
rollermonkey
^^ Hajime, when did you ride? Â Those of us on the UK Trip essentially marathoned on Speed, and I don't think anyone found it rough.
