So like... Summer 2023 is rapidly coming to an end.  Did anyone hear about what the problem is with Triple Loop?

Who ever said there was a problem?

This park (and owner) has never struck me as the type to really care about ride opening dates, more of a "it'll be ready when its ready" type, like Knoebel's.

I think  it's safe to assume there's a problem after they announced the ride and made a promo video for it's 2023 opening.  And then there's the hype video a couple months ago when put one of the train cars on the track and talked about how it's opening soon.

I'm hearing that getting someone to program it has been difficult/impossible.  The current rumor among locals is: there is only 1 person in the world that can program these Schwarzkopf machines and he's been busy elsewhere.

The ride was supposed to open more than a year ago.  Obviously something is not going to plan (aka, a problem).

With Triple Loop now open at IB, I wonder if they will ship their now experienced refurbishment team up to the Niagara/Buffalo area to start working on the shuttle loop for Niagara Amusement Park. That could be dead in the water though. Haven't heard anything about it in what feels like a year at this point.

I rode it a month or so ago with the OTSRs.  It wasn't nearly as bad as people were saying (because a lot of people are pansies) but it certainly had a few janked-out transitions.  I didn't get any really bad knocks, though.

Either way, no OTSRs are better than having them!  I'm excited to go back next year and give it another shot.

Same.  Front row seats were better.  Neither were as bad as I anticipated.  I did 5 laps in a row with no problems at one point. I'd like to get on it some more now.

The ride was run recklessly at its old home south of the border. My undestanding, and someone correct me if I am wrong, was that it was being run trimless 100% of the time in a way it was never meant to be. It is a sad history, but I don't think it is super relevant in considering the safety of the ride going forward.

Can't wait to ride it tomorrow!  So happy to see the shoulder bars are off and it can once again run the way it was designed - shoulder bar free.  Anton never had shoulder bars/pads on his rides.  My friend who lives out there has been riding the heck out of it now, says it's a completely different ride.
