Hello everyone!

Our season just came to a close and we want to thank all of you who made it out to the park this year! It was a great year for us overall, though we know some were disappointed by the somewhat limited operating schedule the new "Wildcat" was on this year. This was slightly expected given the extensive refurbishment , but we promise 2015 will be a much better year for the Wildcat, and I encourage all of you to try and make it out next summer to give it a ride. There are several other reasons to visit in 2015 though...

The troika will debuting next year after a year long refurbishment! The ride looks amazing and we all can't wait to ride it. There are two other very exciting announcements, the first we are already hard at work at installing.

The last announcement I can't reveal just yet, but it is not only the biggest addition to the current version of the park, but it will be by one measurement the biggest addition to Santa's Village ever! Even going all the way back to 1959!

More news to come on this exciting addition along with more photo's and updates this offseason. Again thanks to all who made it out this year, we hope to see you back next year. Now if only IAAPA could get here faster...

^Ah, I didn't read the original post very carefully. I was thinking maybe it was only one section or something, but that makes much more sense, lol

Just to throw some speculation out there, isn't there a very nice, like-new Zierer family coaster up for sale still from Bowcraft? Looks like the park was saved, but they still want to sell the coaster?

^What don't you understand? I'm talking about this: http://rcdb.com/3510.htm

IIRC, Bowcraft nearly closed down completely a few years ago, and Crossbow was listed for sale for a long time. It's not a huge ride, but it is a good size, custom layout, park-model coaster in good condition. I thought I had heard that Bowcraft was still wanting to sell it to give them some more working capital, but I guess it's been a while since I heard anything about it and they seem to be chugging along OK now. It was simply the first thing that jumped into my mind when I started thinking about a big expansion for a tiny park like Santa's Village.

Then again, maybe they're not talking about a new ride at all. Sounds like there are a lot of things in motion for this place.

We loved Azoosment Park when we went last July. Lines were short, the rides were stellar, and everyone just had a ton of fun. Wildcat is the best Galaxi I've ever ridden by far, and I love the landscaping. Our visit was a wonderful, low-key, relaxing day, and we got to ride everything multiple times. If any Azoosment Park employees are reading this, keep doing what you're doing; next time we're in Chicago, we'll definitely be back.

The dragon coaster is not the one that used to be there. The old one was powered, and was moved to an indoor FEC in Minnesota which has since closed. The new dragon coaster probably came from one of the closed Dinorex locations as the layout and trains match.

I managed that FEC for almost a year. The coaster was sold at auction when the park changed owners.

It's actually for sale currently.

Well now, this is a surprise(photo from Screamscape).

I wonder if this is a sign of larger attractions in the parks future. I must say though, I'm amazed at how much they have fit into a relatively small area. I don't believe they have expanded onto the old Racing Rapids site yet, so there is still plenty of room for expansion.
