College!

I graduated from California State University Sacramento or better known as Sac State with a BS in Business administration with an emphasis in management. I am currently back at school (at Sac State) to get my MBA in Human Resources.

I do not remember the exact reason why I went there in the first place.... But I think it is a decent school.

Speaking of school, I have to do an assignment that involves interviewing a manager. Anyone on here a manager that has dealt with an unruly employee? If so pm me, we can do the interview through email. Maybe I will post this as a new topic. Oh well.

I currently attend Arcadia University in Glenside, PA, about 15-20 min outside of Philadelphia, majoring in Business Administration. I really don't know what made me choose to go there. While on my visit, it was one of those moments where it just felt right and I went with my gut. Probably not the way decisions like that should be made, but it is what it is.

I went to LSU for 2 1/2 years, then transferred to Loyola University in New Orleans. Both had their pros and cons. I missed the big-time college atmosphere of LSU, but I preferred the smaller classes at Loyola. I received a Bachelor of Business Administration, with focus on accounting.

Saturday Night in Tiger Stadium is the best place to watch a college football game, hands down.

I went to Cornell University for Civil/Structural Engineering. I went for undergrad and then stayed on for my masters as well.

I went there because it was a good school, great program, beautiful campus, a relatively big school, and just the right distance away from home (6 hours).

I guess this is just as good a topic as any to pop out of long time lurking:

I started many years ago at Clemson University to obtain my BS in nursing. I succumbed to the temptations after being locked in my room at home for 18 years and rarely attended class. I transferred the next year to a nearby community college, and almost finished my associates in nursing (2 semesters to go) when I discovered I was pregnant with twins. I went into labor at 23 weeks and the twins both died. I dropped out of school and worked as an ER tech, eventually ending up as a 911 calltaker / police dispatcher, which is what I do now.

I left school 8 years ago. This fall I went back to the same community college and started on my ADN again.

I chose Tri-County Technical College because graduates from there are more likely to get jobs in the area even over BSN graduates from Clemson. It's 15 minutes from my house and hubby is the program coordinator for the Criminal Justice program and the men's soccer coach. Everyone loves him, so it makes registering and what not easier on me. Plus I received a scholarship thanks to him.

I hope to either be a midwife (1st choice, but as liability costs go up, may end up not being as feasible) or I may continue on to become a Nurse Practitioner in Neonatology.

I guess I'm too old for the WDWCP, huh? LOL

This thread has been around for a bit so I guess I'll join in. I'm currently in my senior year at UCLA, wrapping up a B.A in History. After this year I'll be heading East for law school. I've already applied (and been accepted to one) but it'll be a few more months before I know exactly where I'm going to end up.

I was supposed to go to college (Univ. of Cincinatti) for communications, but for some reason my parents wouldn't cosign the loan (probably because they knew it wouldn't go through) and I ended up shining it on.

If I had the money, I would like, however, to go to college in the near future for either the aforementioned (I've always wanted to be on the radio), casino dealing (I would be the best after braces are done), and/or bartending.

I'm a lost cause, yeah?

Washington University in St. Louis (aka WashU)

I'm studying Civil Engineering. Its a lot of fun but waaaayyy too much work at times.

I'm going to WashU because I wanted to be West of the Mississippi (made it by about 7 miles or so) and when I visited I just fell in love with the place and more importantly the people. Its a smaller school, the people are very nice, and the weather is great .

i'm going to the University of Strathclyde in august to do a BSc in physics and an elective (minor) in psychology.

I CANT WAIT!!!!!!!

Strathy can be awesome. But to get the best socially, you have to get off your butt and really go for things. There are (or were when I was there) tons of student run clubs. From the chess club, the the laser game club, to the extreme sports club. But no coaster club. maybe thats an opening for you? The Uni even help fund some of them if you can pitch it as having some educational value. Plus the union building is cool, I used to practically live in Gamezone on the third level. (not sure its still called that though).

Anyway, my stuff...

Primary school: Glengowan. Tiny little village school.

Secondary school: Caldervale High. One of the worst performing schools in the area. but I still managed to get enough there to go to....

Strathclyde University. After 4 years, I left withan BEng Electronic and Electrical Engineering ( 2:2 Honours).

And after all that, I somehow still end up working at a dull desk job for the tax people.

yeah we got at talk at school the other day by student and they were telling us about these sort of clubs and the coaster club was the first thing that came to mind! lol But i'm not sure how it would go as there are VERY few enthusiasts in scotland never mind one university. But I could always give it a try.
