Twister II
We are going to Disneyland for their 50th year anniversery at the end of November. Now we are staying at the CandyCane Hotel(250yrds from DL enternce) and also getting some sort of packet that includes Knotts. With experience with WDW's Magic Kingdom, I was bored. So I probly wouldnt spend a lot of time in DL. I would like some help planning out my schedual. Parks I would like to visit are; Disneyland California Adventure Knotts Berry Farm Six Flags Magic Mountion but then again, the people Im going with want to go to the San Diago Zoo and some musem. Sir Clinksalot
What specific dates are you going? Remember that SFMM is only open on weekends during that time of year. Most other SoCal parks are open year round. If you are going Thanksgiving weekend expect HUGE crowds.

The rides are pretty much the same, and other than having one extra 'mountain' and Indy, if you aren't into WDW's Magic Kingdom, you probably won't be that into Disneyland either. We're kind of the same way. We don't spend much time at Magic Kingdon at WDW, hence we don't spend that much time at Disneyland either. Our typical DL visit is to do a lap on the mountain rides and Indy maybe a dark ride and then head over to DCA where we spend most of our time. Two days should be enough, IMO. But it depends on how much you want to re-ride stuff. If you ARE into the dark rides like Pirates, Mansion, Small World, and the Fantasyland dark rides, you may need some more time, but if you're not, then two days should be enough. The other thought would be that Knott's would not be a full day park, and you could probably get in another 1/2 day at Disneyland Resort after Knott's. As for what to do on your free day, IMO it could be a toss up between Universal and Legoland. I'm starting to like Universal more and more, but if you've been to Orlando, don't bother. Go to Legoland instead because that is a really fun park! Anyone else want to add their thoughts? --Robb
CoasterFanatic
I just got done doing the same thing (5 days) and even added Sea World and Belmont into the mix. Twister II
We will be going in December. I know that SFMM will only be open on weekends, so which day? Saturday or Sunday?
shepp
^ As a rule of thumb, parks are almost always more crowded on Saturdays than Sundays (especially Sunday morning, and if you want to ride X, get there early and check out the map beforehand to see which way you've gotta sprint when the gates open - it's confusing). However, you might check with SFMM to make sure there are no special events scheduled for that day. I got caught unawares by Gospel Day at KBF. They were selling $20 tickets through KFC, and the place was super-packed.
