robbalvey
Hey everyone! Quassy Amusement Park has just sent us some news about their revamped website: http://www.quassy.com FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEQuassy’s Web Site Gets Extreme Makeover; New Section Caters To Groups Electronic Ticketing, Video Highlights Also Offered MIDDLEBURY, Conn. – It was an Extreme Makeover in cyberspace. After five months of behind-the-scenes work, the official Web site of Quassy Amusement Park has received a facelift as well as a new section catering exclusively to group outings. “We spent a great deal of time and energy on revamping our Web site and adding the catering section,” George Frantzis II, co-owner of the lakeside facility said of the project. “We had a great Web site before, but with the improvements we’re very pleased with the flow and ease of maneuvering the site.” The new section - www.quassy.com/cateredevents - provides a comprehensive overview for catered events at the park. Surfers can click on a number of pages in the new section for information about themed parties, employee appreciation programs and activities. The new section is immediately brought up from Quassy’ Home Page by clicking on Catered Outings, Corporate Outings or Family Reunions. “This section gives you true view as to the many options available to companies and families that Quassy provides,” Frantzis noted. “We’re not just a one-dimensional amusement park. We cater to many different organizations and this Web site portrays that very well.” The selection of Themed Parties includes a Hawaiian Luau, Texas Barbecue, Cinco DeMayo-Mexican Celebration, and Carnival At Quassy. Video Highlights In addition, the Catered Events section features video highlights and still photos of the park, its catering facilities and numerous group activities. The video was derived from the park’s award-winning 2004 television advertising campaign. The minute-and-a-half clip was produced by Northern Lights Communications of Bristol, Conn., which has provided Quassy will all of its television commercials in recent years. The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) honored Quassy with a Brass Ring Award last November for its 2004 TV campaign. Electronic Ticketing Quassy is also offering electronic ticketing for the first time this year. An icon on the Quassy Home Page allows customers to purchase season passes as well as individual day passes online. “This is just another way of Quassy making it easier for our guests to enjoy all that we have to offer,” Frantzis said of the new e-ticketing. The www.quassy.com site also features new photos of the park’s rides and attractions, a complete events calendar, information about birthday parties, and free educational workshops and tours. Quassy’s Web site was developed by Innovative Internet Marketing Solutions of Wallingford, Conn. The park, located on Route 64 in Middlebury, opens for its 97th season on April 23 with a $25 Carload Weekend to benefit the Greater Waterbury Campership Fund. Quassy features more than two-dozen rides and attractions, beach, “Saturation Station” interactive water play area, redemption arcade, games and a restaurant. Schools may schedule their educational workshops, tours and outings by calling the park office at (203) 758-2913 or 1-800-FOR-PARK. Workshop and tour information is available at www.quassy.com/groupsales_classroom.htm Quassy Amusement Park has a new section on its Web site this year which deals strictly with Catered Events, including a selection of Themed Parties. RCTfan
Quassy is one unique park. I love the Monster with the "brakes" that are chains. Quite scary! Got a T-Shirt from there for like 7 bucks, that was hot. Someone actually recognized the park name when I was at Indiana Beach, I was surprised. They were from the area. Token Yankee Guy
Oh yay... now the parks site is better....then the park yay the park in the snow.. http://s7.invisionfree.com/CanobieFans/index.php?act=Attach&type=post&id=6396484 http://s7.invisionfree.com/CanobieFans/index.php?act=Attach&type=post&id=6396511 It's funny because it's true. Now, I've been to Quassy when I was young and it does sort of have the same atmosphere as Knoebels but at a much lower degree. I think this was the first park my sister and I encountered bumper cars that make you go one-way. Bumper Cars where you can have head on collisions is fun.
