hyyyper Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 http://www.nolimitscoaster.de/ , ole hopes to bring us weekly screenie updates, can't wait
BiCoastal Kid Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 ^I'm sure Ole thought og that. The people modeling and texturing the game are excellent at optimization.
ElBlufer Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 I cant wait to see what comes next! The improved brake run looks great, and I'm sure everything else will as well.
ShoubraStreet74 Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 Wow. The new breaks and machinery in the track look great. And I don't think it will affect the frame rate too much. Nolimits as it is is very graphics efficient and I don't think some extra polygons will have that much of an effect. I hope there is also an addition of some new traintypes in the near future (B&M Flying/Vekoma Flying/the giovanola goliath trains/perhaps a 4d train would be nice). But nevetheless, it's great to see new progress being made with Nolimits, just look at the changes that have been added from v1.1 to the NL that is out now...

BiCoastal Kid Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 ^I think he already has. Also, from what I've read, don't expect much in the new style department. To my understanding, this is another improvement update.
BorisTF Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 ^I think he already has. Also, from what I've read, don't expect much in the new style department. To my understanding, this is another improvement update. with a gerts spinner and possibly some new vekoma trains apparently

Angry_Gumball Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 I think that catwalks could also use some tuning up as they're kinda 'flat.' Another great thing to see would be an actual reverse cable lift (using an actual cable instead of a chain...kinda odd that they call it reverse cable lift when it's a chain) This looks great so far though.
24 Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 That is Freakin sweat! I wonder how the other trains would look.

To my knowledge, there aren't any new trains styles on the way, just refurbished styles. The coding to make the trains rotate reactionally to the track design would be a major undertaking and I wouldn't be surprised if that waited until NL2.
coasterboi Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 So far i dont think the floorless trains look any different but i am loving the new wheels and brakes. but on weeweeslap i read that gerstauler and vekoma are going to let them use most of their rides i dont know if it is just me but i would love to see a water coaster.

If that is true then maby we will get the Flying Dutchman coaster from vekoma, and finally get a kind of flyer atleast. (Me is hoping)

I dont know why that type of track appeals to me...it just does (maybe Tatsu coming to SFMM helps with that!)

Ole hinted towards a new Vekoma train & said there is a spinner on CoasterSims
BiCoastal Kid Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 Being a regular at CS, I would love to see that. I mean, it's definately possible to get new Vekoma trains, I just seriously doubt the Gerstlauer trains as that would entail, what I assume would be, some major coding as opposed to some simple re-modeling/texturing.
BorisTF Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 Vekoma is a very nice company. They are not known for making the smoothest coasters but they are very kindly and co-operative. I was able to visit their factory last year and I am proud to have a great customer like Vekoma. They allow us to use most of the designs we made for them in the public release of NoLimits. Some of those will be present in the new update 1.6 coming out this year. I am not sure if they allowed us to use the specific train that you have talked about above. Gerstlauer is a great customer, too. The spinning coaster will be part of 1.6 as well. - Ole http://www.coastersims.com/pavilions.asp?BoardID=50&ThreadID=22362&action=ViewTopic There were a couple of otehr posts as well, but the information wasnt as good as that...
Angry_Gumball Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 Well, it's confirmed that the spinning coaster will be part of the update. www.nolimitscoaster.de

How did I even c0ome close to missing that? I read that thread too... man, I feel the onset of alzheimers. But, um, YEAH, spinners now.... I'm gonna have fun with those...
