Car crashes?

Recommended Posts

Hey everybody, today I was in a car wreck, what happened was...

My sister and I were late to school because she couldn't find her keys and so she was all mad because she couldn't find them. Finally I find them and we go out the door and to the car. I'm barely in the car and she like floor it leaving me no time to put on my seat belt. She skids on the gravel and straw and panics and tried to pull it straight and we run head first into a big pine tree. She hit her knee but my head got slammed into the wind sheild. I had a mild concussion (sp?) and so I had to go to the ER to get a cat scan and stuff. I only know what happened because my sister told me, I just remember getting in the car and next thing I knew I was on the dashboard with my head feeling like somebody stabbed it...

Does anybody else have any car wreck stories? I'll post pictures of the truck we wur in later.

:edit: That's why i'm not at school and I have a lot of ice on my head and i've been taking tylenol.

Yikes, that sucks!

When I was 14 or 15, can't remember when exactly, but it was before I was old enough to drive, my mom was pulling into the driveway when we got rear-ended. The guy was going like 60 mph, haha. Anyway, we spun out, took out the mailbox, and smashed into the tree in front of our house. That was not fun.

I've been in two

6 years ago in New Mexico, we were heading back in a rental car to Albuquerque, where we would fly home the next day. In a small traffic jam an uninsured motorist is digging through the floor of her car and hits us. It bent the fenders, but no injuries.

The second one was this past Summer we were travelling down the road, all of about 500 feet from my neighborhood, and a woman in a Nissan Quest pulls out in front of us, and we T-Bone her. No one was hurt, and the whole passenger door on hers was destroyed. My mom's 2003 MPV being the beast it is took only a few scratches (still can't figure that one out)

I've got a good story. So I went ALL THE WAY DOWN to Cincinnati from Akron Ohio to ride a kiddie coaster with my friend. Back in Columbus, before we went to dinner with some other coaster friends, we were sitting at a light waiting to get onto 270. Some idiot hits me at 50 MPH, completely jacks my car and my 2 passengers, I hit the car in front of me - totalling his car - and he slams into the car in front of him. I black out into my airbag and the car pushes my car up then takes off through a BP parking lot. There were witnesses that saw the license plate but there were no direct matches. I paid somewhere around $300 to get my car towed off the road, pay to have my doors closed, pay for the road to get cleaned up, and for the police report. I had glass in my neck and back and my neck was really messed up. To top the story, I didn't have collision insurance because the car wasn't worth that much money. I lived my life for 3 weeks without a car and without the funds to get another one. My dad had to drive me to and from Columbus to clear more things up with the police station. Just yesterday, they called us letting us know that the case was closed and unless anyone confessed to the crime, they couldn't do anything for us. LUCKILY - they saw the car and pulled it over that afternoon. The man lied about the accident and couldn't provide information about it. It turns out that he is a 22 year old pizza delivery guy that was scared about the accident and ran away. He was uninsured. They arrested him this morning and now my insurance agency will cover my car through my uninsured motorist insurance. SCORE! Here are some pictures of my car under a tarp, sitting in my driveway 2 hours away from the accident. Yeah, it cost about $300 to tow on a flatbed...

In all honesty, I'm lucky to be alive.

Wow...that's about what the front of mine looks like (not that bad), but we didn't have airbags or seat belts...my mom said we're lucky we hit the tree instead of swerving the other way and flipping. Oh yea, when I told the ER ppl that I didn't break the glass they wur like WOW.

^^Hey Ghetto Boy "woah_killa" it looks like you actually live in the sticks! Dirt road, with no pavement, yup sticks!!!

So have your parents (Or living in the sticks) "parent" given you and your sister a good beat down yet??? Your sister for driving like a psycho, and you for not wearing a seatbelt!? Not to mention trashing the family pickup!? (Once again the classic "sticks" vehicle!)

Just kidding.....You're lucky not to have been seriously injured! Accidents do happen when you least expect them to.

By the way, did you get to at least have an exciding ride in an ambulance? I hope so!

What's the point of wrecking you car, if you can't cruise thru a few red lights in an ambulance! Hopefully your Nurses were cute and accommodating!

When I was 17, I was going 75 mph (I used to be a complete idiot) on a country road and lost control of my car. I shot off the road, hit a ditch and flipped four times. Because I was in the middle of nowhere. I had to walk over a mile with half my head covered in blood to an elementary school to get help. I actually didn't feel any pain because of the adrenaline rush I had, but I do have permanent back damage from it though. There are quite a few coasters out there that I can only ride once because they just put me in too much pain. Texas Giant and Georgia Cyclone come to mind.

LOL!!! Well, he said he live ACROSS the street from the ghetto, but from the looks of one of the puics, the other side of the road is country too Actually, I'm just teasing, and for all I know he could live in downtown Atlanta because there are still parts of town that look like that and ARE hood.

Never been in an accident, unless you count a dumbass backing up on me in the line for a drive through Amazing, really, since drivers in Atlanta are foolish and I don't exactly buck the trend.

I was in one, years ago, before I turned ten, with my mom in her car.

I remember we were in a lane, probably not left hand, and my mom was imemdiately going to cross traffic to get over to a King Burger (very local, and 'in' back in late 50's) when WHAM!

I think the idiot (her) was in a second lane, and was turning across the inside left lane, no signal light on, the guy who hit her side probably had no clue she was going to turn that suddenly.

I remember the 'hit' was jarring, but not bad enough, to have to be a) pulled out of, or b) extracted from, etc.

I think we both walked away from it, and I can't remember for the life of me, whether we had seat belts on, at that time. I mean, they weren't mandatory like they are nowadays here. But I guess we did have them on. Not even scratched, as I can recall.

Don't remember the $ outcome. I was "too young at the time..." to know any better, heh heh. But that's my "boyhood car accident."

I have had my "adult accidents" with both cars and motorcycles and lived to tell tales of... in another thread, maybe lol.

My dad hit a car in the rear just a few months ago. I was in the backseat. We were coming up a hill and got blinded by the sunlight and didnt see that the car in front of us had stopped. It wasnt a big crash, but the repair costs were still 50.000 NOK (about $7500) on our 98' Peugeot 406. My dads car insurance covered that though.

Well after a christmas party , my mom and I were driving home and got stuck in this ice/mud patch in the road. a car comes SCREAMING! down the street at between 80-105mph.. and it was some old drunk guy behind the wheel!. Hits my car broad side, smashing in the drivers side doors and trunk. My mom was ok but I stayed at my friends house for a couple days to hang out with a couple bruises. Our car did a complete 360+ and rolled backwards into the one guy who lived near theres horse enclosure..that thing got scared crap-less! That should have totalled my car.. but they said it would be fine!

My most recent 2 accidents were not like my fault, but my friends neighbor "Doesn't see a need to look in his rear view mirror!" so my car was parked along the side walk and he backed right into it! $900.. and he wanted us to take it to a place he knew. We said no becuase we knew the place only bangs out the accidents with a hammer! we wanted the full fix up so we took it to our car specialist!.

Second accident was, when I was at Dunkin Donuts, I was pulling out of the parking space and these trucks wer epacking my car in very tight, with the amount of cars trying to get in etc it blocked me to the point I had to scrape into a guys bumper to get out, he didn't care though. he laughed and said "its ok I don't blame you, My trucks really old anyway".

Good to know your ok Woah-Killa..

^What the heck are you talking about Park Trips???

You know that "Ghetto Boy" lives in the sticks, not that it considered a bad thing, because many people live in the sticks!

Anti-stick rant and picture: Actually, that's my driveway...not the road I live on. Compared to the houses around me, I live in a big house haha, I'll get some pics of my cousin's house and my house to give you an idea, I say I live across from the ghetto because if you look across from my driveway there's a trailor park...Some people actually came to my house to borrow a phone! Ironically, everybody in my family has a cell phone!

(I ran out of room in the caption thing, there's also a kitchen and fancy pool table in the pool house)

This is my cousin's 3 story house. (3rd floor is used as an attic) In the pic you can see the main part of the house. She also has a 3 car garage (with attic), a garden/huge L shaped pool, and a 2 story pool house with a bunch of stuff (slot machine, ki

^ OK I regress my previous comment, where do you live exactly? My guess is if you're considering a trailer park "ghetto" and are suprised people asked to use the phone, you may live farther out there than I do. Actually I'm going to tkae a stab and say Paulding County, but I'm probably wrong!

I've been in 2 fender-benders and 1 medium sized accident. Thankfully nobody has gotten hurt in any of them. Glad to hear that you are feeling better and you weren't "too badly" hurt; still really sucks though.

First of all I have to say that I am glad you are still okay! Car accidents really sucks! I had a bad one years ago! I was on a country road with 60 mph and came to a crossing junction. There was a truck who haven´t seen me and started to drive over the street! I was so shocked and coulnd´t really stop the car! So I crashed under his trailer! There I was for near 1 hour, before the firemen pulled my car out and found me injured in the destroyed car! A helicopter landed and the flew me in the next hospital! There I was for near 1 week! Everyone there couldn´t believe that I was still alive and nothing was broken!
