Wondering about when Americans go Back to School??

I was wondering when all you Americans go back to school???

In the mornings, around 8:00 AM...Actually, we're still in school for a few more months... We weren't off school.

They have nearly the exact same school schedule that Canada does.

Alright, I thought they got out earlier than us and went back before us also. Just Wondering

 

As in go back in late August and get out in early June.

The basic schedule;

 

In the south, schools usually let out earlier than the north. Southern US states, like Florida, let out some time in late May and return back in early August (too ridiculous to be back in early August).

 

In the north, they usually get out in mid-June or so and come back in late August/early September.

Judging by the testing results from most of the major/large inner city school districts: I don't think they go to school. period.

 

My daughter (goes to suburban school near cleveland) goes from early Aug thru late June. She has band camp in july.

Here is Get out on June 7th and go back august 28th-september5th always somewhere in between there

(from Georgia) We get out in early May, and will go back in mid August... around August the 12th I believe... I hate it though. We go back to school during the hottest month, and it's usually anywhere between 85 and 100 degrees Farenheit.

For me I'm on the college schedule of...

 

Start back the day after labor day in September and I get out mid-may.

 

Plus I get a month long winter break and two weeks for spring break.

Here, we get out around the last week of May and go back the second week of August.

That is also the general schedule for Indianapolis.

Here we get out on June 16 (for this year) and usually we go back after Labor Day, but we're going back to school a little earlier this year, in August.

Here we get out 3rd week of June (LAST STATE), and go to school two days after Labor Day. Right now we are stuck in six weeks of agony until April 7(Spring Break).
