BelizeIt
For myself it would be the Corkscrew. I believe the Corkscrew made its debut at Knotts Berry Farm over 30 years ago. Since that time many other Theme Parks have added this "Arrow" creation to their Coaster line up, though I feel its time has passed. I find the Corkscrew to be less thrilling then many of the current looping elements available on coasters today. Plus, those overhead restraints always seem to click down an extra notch or two whenever you go through a Corkscrew. I've always enjoyed Looping Coasters like Riddler's Revenge (SFMM), but for the past few years I have avoided Corkscrew Coasters like Viper (SFMM). TheGreatOne
Moreso than the Corkscrew is the "Batwing"...the anti-Cobra Roll. It used to be on a lot of Arrow mega-looper coasters (Vortex, Viper-SFDL, Steel Phantom), but like Arrow Coasters, aren't showing up anymore. Wes
I think cobra rolls are boring.
ebl
^ Ditto. With so many possibilities, B&M (and others) should be doing them. I haven't ridden it yet, but the Sea Serpent element on Medusa at SFMW is a good example of what can be done. There's more than one way to bend metal y'know... Carnage
Those really large helicies like on S:ROS at SFDL and SFA. I just find them slow, boring, and forceless.
Alexander Nagel
I just find them slow, boring, and forceless. hmmm Slow: Not really Boring: Ya I can see where some people can think that, I'd liked them because they are differant from the norm. Forceless: HELL NO! You must of gotten them on bad days. Like when I was at SFDL and it was very windy and I could just feel the wind killing the airtime on the second and/or third hills. DerekRx
I don't care for inclined loops, and standard sitdown corkscrews are also pretty dull.
Robbie
Cobra Rolls are the most outdated and boring elements on a coaster.
Darien Laker
I'd say the Arrow launched loop coasters are out-dated, with only a few of them left in the world. The Schwartzkopf ones are another story, however.

It's all personal taste. But comparing the larger gradual helicies to the smaller one's like on SFNE's S:ROS is what I'm reffering to. The smaller tighter one's just produce a much more exciting ride IMHO.
timetrial3141592
I'd say the most outdated element is the "airtime" hill ... the type that has no airtime at all (e.g. the "uninteresting" hill on ME, the speed hill on Thunder Dolphin) or the type that squashes your nuts (e.g. Dodonpa). Erik Johnson
I think cobra rolls are boring. Wait until you experience Dueling Dragons Ice's cobra roll. I am with you, too many coasters have this element, but I really like this one.
HCOSurfer90
The corkscrew is getting pretty old. IMO, I think that more looping coasters should get the inverted top hat, like the ones on Mr. Freeze and Batman and Robin.
alpengeist04
^I'm not a big fan of the cobra roll either, but I do like the one on DD (Ice).
coasterfreak101
I think that the classic Arrow corkscrews (Python @ BGT, etc.) are boring. BUT, I think that when B&M pulls off a corkscrew, it rocks. Both on Kraken and Montu on my recnet Florida trip I was whipped thru the Corky's. And on all the other B&M's I have ridden. So yeah, the older corky's are kind of dull, but the newer, quicker ones aren't! *Bows*Thank You! Thank You! You're all too Kind!*Bows*
GeorgiaDawg278
I believe that tear-drop loops are not outdated, but simply boring. Mind Bender at SFOG has circular loops and they put out some incredible G-Force. As for outdated, I'd have to agree with corkscews. Practically everything has them that inverts, and they just aren't that thrilling IMO.
Shockwave
To be honest, the one element I'd like to see permanently removed is dead straight flat track when the train is free running, like that which exists on the Ultimate, or between the Zero-G roll and the corkscrews on Shockwave (Drayton Manor). coaster_maniac
I'm gonna have to say the barrel roll... maybe it's not outdated, but to me, they just kinda hurt. Also, a simple Arrow or Vekoma loop is getting kinda old.. but I still love EVERYTHING about coasters.. hehe
coasterfreak101
Not to say you can't have your own opinion, but Barrel Rolls rock! Especially the one on Kraken @ SWO in the back seat. You actually start to fall out of your seat but then it whips you back up. Iove it

Homer
Racing/Dueling coasters have become outdated. We haven't seen much since the days of Lightning Racer/Gwazi/Dragons. Unless CP does the dueling flyers...

KrakenKing
Carousel Helices aren't that great... IE. Hulk's around the launch tunnel... Also, MCBR's!
viking86
Its a fairly new element, but I find heartline rolls to be rather uninteresting and slightly uncomfortable. Arrow/Vekoma corkscrews arent very interesting either, but old-school B&M wingovers are awesome. Those on Batman la Fuga were taken so fast it was amazing. I loved it! CoasterExpert13
I don't care much for Arrow's corks or vertical loops either. I think Cobra Rolls and heartlines are great. The best inversion(s) of all to me would have to be: Zero-G-Rolls, Dive Loops and Immlemans. There aren't to many that I dislike....I just can't stand the usual "B&M" layout (Loop, Dive Loop, Zero-G, Cobra Roll, MCB's, Corkscrew, corkscrew) So many B&M's have that exact layout. But I must say most of them still have a different ride experience.
