l3ite_me1313
I'll admit, I do get somewhat nervous when riding these things. I am always afraid my Harness is going to come undone, especially when I'm at the very end of the row sometimes. Or sometimes, I get REALLY nervous when I get stuck on a hill lift, I'm afraid it going to come crashing backwards. Silly me Anyone ever get scared about technical problems? verticalzero
1st Drop is the worst part of a coaster if over 200ft, as your body has not adjusted to the speed or any "Airtime". Â When you go on the coaster again you relax/enjoy more as you know what happens and when. Â I make sure the OHR / lapbelt is fixed down when i'm in the station. CoasterExpert13
My worst fear when ridding a coaster is not about the coaster itself, mainly the riders. I fear being barfed on.....Again.. Â And, well maybe, the "OTHR" or lapbar coming unlocked. But I usually only worry about that on ceartin coasters, like the Phantom's Revenge on the bunnyhops, near the end of the ride. I sometimes think that all the force i'm putting on the lap bar when flying out of my seat that the lap bar is gonna come unlocked.
ncf
My only fear is that it could be dissapointing, not as good as I expected...
DragonKhan
I'd have many fears riding a "coater"... Â http://www2.uakron.edu/cpspe/dpe/web/Images/IPE/Normal/sputter%20coater.JPG
Millenniumguy
Ever since the TTD breakdown, I make sure the coaster goes through the circuit a few times. Yes, I like rollbacks, but I mean getting stuck on the lifthill, the launch breaking down, or some other bizzare incident. After all, strange things against me always happen to me! . Darien Laker
I get scared usually when i've never ridden a certain type of coaster before and it's my first ride. MGM's Rockin' Roller Coaster had me more scared than any ride in my life the first time I rode it.
hyyyper
the only fear i have is that there's a long queue when i get off the coaster and want to re-ride

captain_dl
My biggest fear is not for me, but for my son. He is 10 and really has started to enjoy coasters. I always worry that he is small enough to slip out of the restraints.
calcajun
I have one simple fear on any coaster. Any catostrophic failure while I am riding it. Â Like on an inverted that travels over water. Train derails and hits the water. You survive the crash into the water but, securely held in place by your OTSR you drown while sinking to the bottom of the lake. Â Yes, this is the stuff that enters my mind! Â
coasterdude5
^ Yeah, that's always run through my mind on rapids rides, I always make the belt REAL loose. Â I guess my biggest fear is the restraint popping open. That would not be good!

martinb
My biggest fear is being stopped at the trim/block brakes, midway through the ride or at the end! Â Mainly because i was on space mountain at DLP and the train stopped at the brakes at the end (electrovelociter thingy) and the train was there for about 5 minutes and i could hear the other train getting closer and closer!!! Robbie
"1st Drop is the worst part of a coaster if over 200ft, as your body has not adjusted to the speed or any "Airtime". " Â That is the best part of every coaster. Â Â Anyway, my biggest fear is probably derailing or something like the infamous KK incident happening while im on a rocket. woah_killa
^Haha, your writing style is funny... Â Yea, my biggest fear is on rapids rides...I'm afraid it will sink and then i'll be stuck in that water.
Sean Menefee
I can't stand heights, but love coasters. So needless to say the lift isn't my favorite part of the ride. Â Launched coasters are easier to deal with IMO but I'll ride just about anything one time no matter how bad it looks. Drop towers are a whole other issue though. MattJackson
I guess my fear is when a train vallies. Like, some hyper coasters tend to go over hills slowly, almost to the point of a hault. I hate going backwards on a coaster that isn't designed to travel backwards to complete a course, because you know something bad is going to happen, one involving a wait for the ops to release the restraints, the walkback, and the coaster not operating for a while, at least until they do whatever to get it out. rollermonkey
That my restraint will open while I'm riding. AGAIN! Yes, it really happened, and it sucked! It stuck halfway open, and I got beaten up pretty bad. The ride ops didn't even care. (It was Naples, Italy so I guess that explains the ops...) Racerbret
Big a$$ earthquake hits when near or at the top of the lift. Yup, that would pretty much scare the crap out of me.
