The SETGO Guys
This is great! I really can't wait to see how this turns out! -It looks like a great family coaster! Edited February 9, 2011 by The SETGO Guys
Skycoastin Steve
I honestly wish they hadn't recycled the Manta name, simply because it's going to be a pain in the arse to specify from now on which Manta I'm referring to. Regardless, neat looking ride, and a great addition for the park.

ArizonaGuy
Looks good to me! One more reason for me to visit Sea World San Diego now. And in regards to distinguishing the Florida Manta from the San Diego Manta...........Would it be proper for me to say "I can't wait to ride Santa!!!!"??? In regards to SeaWorld San Diego getting a coaster, it's definitely going to be a great addition to the park. May not be the tallest, fastest, steepest, coolest, scariest, craziest coaster out there....but it's a coaster. *credit whores raise your glasses of champagne now"
phantomfan93
Alright now I'm excited my cousins might be movin to San Diego!!!

alpengeist04
I like what I see so far. It should be a great new addition to SWSD in 2012.
Mr. Starr
^Just throwing it out there...looking like a TPR California Trip is in the works for 2012! Very awesome news! As for this coaster, I'm looking forward to it like I did with the original Manta!
PhantomNick
This coaster looks like a great addition for the park, regardless of how high it is (or isn't). The layout looks pretty sweet! And Wes, your post was all sorts of WIN!!
Airtime&Gravity
This is looking a lot better than what I was expecting, and, despite being a "family" coaster, it looks like a great ride. As has been said, as long as the theming is closer to what's in the picture, and not like Atlantis, this should be a great ride. This coaster looks like it will just be a lot of fun to ride, and it just goes to show, that bigger is not necessarily better.
daveydo5172
The park was also scheduled to get a new flat ride, something significant, either for this year or next. Has anyone heard any word on that status? Two new rides for the park will be a great improvement.
beatle11
I know concept art doesn't necessarily equal the real thing, but that looks fantastic!
the ghost
Also I REALLY love the ray on the front of the train...more so than Fanta!(Wes Rules!) That is gonna look awesome shooting out of a spray of water, as the concept art suggests! Also, this reminds me a lot of cheetah hunt without intamin's restraint system. YAY! Ace Of Spades
My god, how many city officials did they have to kill/bribe to get this approved? Anyway, this is exactly what I've been thinking that SWSD has needed for so long: just one more ride to round out their collection and make the park fun for ride people and animal people in equal measure! I'll definitely be headed down there next year to check it out!
StarTrekGeek
I'm pretty impressed with this new ride. I loved Blue Fire at Europa Park, and despite this being smaller, it is still an honor to have MACK Launch in the USA and it looks like fun! PayneTrain
This also probably kills off speculation that Mack is coming to Williamsburg. As much as I want some kind of Mack Ride in Virginia, it seems as if BGW/BGT management doubled ordered again.
WW1 Flying Ace
^Avalanche doesn't count. Well if this has some good airtime this will have the potential to be a very good coaster. Interested to see what this launch tunnel turns out to be with its projection.
Hilltopper39
Looks like a fantastic attraction! Am I the only one who thinks that SeaWorld and Busch Gardens parks are really starting to figure things out attractions wise? The past several additions to every one of their parks have been great, Manta, Jungala, Sheikra, both Sesame Street areas, Griffin, new trains for Gwazi, and now Cheetaka Race, Santa, and whatever they're building in BGE next year. I've been more impressed by everything SeaWorld Entertainment has done over the past 5 years than anything Disney (or Universal really) has done in the same time frame. Now if they could only do something about those sometimes horrid operations.......
coasterking2981
In response to what someone said earlier about this ride so far having no negative responses, I think this is the one park we can all agree on that just needs something....anything, in fact, especially with how much Disney is pouring into California Adventure and Universal into Transformers. And not to mention the new (and updated) rides going into SFMM and Knott's this year. I'm happy for the park. This ride will definitely warrant a visit from me in 2012
CCI
The ride looks great, although I'm a bit disappointed with the unoriginal name choice.
Big-M
^Just be happy it wasn't called Stingray Hunt. Anyway, this looks like a great addition to the park!
The_Mad_Hatter
Newsplusnotes has sa couple new pictures as well: http://newsplusnotes.blogspot.com/ I think it sounds pretty impressive, should be a very enveloping environment if done right. The launch tunnel sounds pretty cool and unique.
