SharkTums
I don't think Trains are ever supposed to hit each other, testing or not! The other thing that seems weird...if it was 'testing', why were people injured? Let us know if it starts testing again and running with people! Elissa "slightly concerned for our trip!" Sarah F
They let people ride it while they're still working out the bugs in the computer, that's why it's still being referred as testing. SDC is doing what some other theme parks do, and that's having an "unofficial" opening of the ride, meaning they let people ride while they're still ironing out all the kinks. I've heard they do this to avoid making people mad if it breaks down during the official opening.
SharkTums
I knew it was 'soft opening', I was more confused that an empty 'testing' train hit a train full of people. I guess it was the first train out of the day or something. Elissa "fix it now!!!" Alvey
Sarah F
I heard that the train full of people was the last train of the day.
CoasterFanatic
I doubt that they would ever let the general public on to a ride that is having the "kinks" worked out.
Sarah F
They do let the public ride during that time. Don't believe me, call them . When I called them last weekend, more than 1 employee told me they DO let people ride while testing it. Edited March 23, 2005 by Sarah F
CoasterFanatic
I don't doubt that the public was riding it, but the "computer bugs" and "kinks" words kind of scared me. This ride has to pass a thorough inspection before anyone gets on it. // No disrespect intended in earlier post
Sarah F
That's what I was told, about the bugs & stuff being worked out.
